I never thought I'd review a City Hall, but the one in Hong Kong provides a perfect long afternoon. Among other things (unreviewed here) it contains both Maxim's restaurant, and a lovely concert hall. Maxim's is purported to be the best dim sum restaurant in...More

This is a must, if you go to Hong Kong. Try to get a Window table, and pick out your selections by tray servers walking around. Food is exceptional. Bettter for Lunch. Get there before 12 noon.

This is a nice large clean venue for Cantonese dim sim lunch. It is located within the Hong Kong City Hall where one will find many other civic activities going on. The variety of dishes on offer are many and much more than one can...More

Hong Kong's City Hall is an unpretentious building near the harbourfront. It is a quiet corner in busy Central. Many come here for the well-renowned Maxim restaurant for dim sum.

I love the atmosphere of the concert: Chinese folk orchestra with standardized mode and improved acoustic, people come here to enjoy their culture. This shows the real vibe of the city. The hall’s acoustic may be a bit worse than HKCC for orchestra music but...More

City hall is not so easy to find, we reached it from the government buildings complex. We liked the memorial garden which has really tranquil atmosphere.

Impressive building which seems like its located no where special. When you arrive it's typical of a concert hall lots of space and stairs. The view towards the harbour is worth the trip, special Yum Cha located upstairs.

Been here many times in the past 40 years for yum cha. Love it still with some traditional dim sums that other places stop doing. Always a long queue but discovered that you can queue online thru the Food Gulu app. Darn!

This is the oldest City Hall of Hong Kong. Built about 50 years ago. There are two blocks, high and low. On the low block there is a concert hall, a theatre and an exhibition centre plus a Cantonese restaurant and western cafe. On the...More

Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies
with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The
area widely known as Central is the major financial
hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up
to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open
late into the night and there just happens to be a
street party every weekend. Although everything seems
to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of
