I've been to Plover cove many times with my Son & his 2 dogs. This time I took my friend as it was her first visit to Hong Kong & I think it's a good place to walk & chill out. Sit & have a cold drink or ice cream & watch the world go by.

The Plover Cove reservoir is an absolute must visit attraction while in Hong Kong. It's as far as it gets from central Hong Kong (located in the New Territories). The reservoir is beautifully located next to the green mountains, with numerous islands and islets in the horizon, as well as the skyline of the less rural areas of Hong Kong.... More

Accessible by bus and has a small carpark. Bike hire, boat hire and a barbecue area on site. Walk inwards towards the reservoir and you will be rewarded with a fine peaceful aura. Plenty of restaurants on the other side of the road. If you can, avoid visiting at weekends, it gets quite busy to rather unpleasant at those periods.

I’ve always had an inaccurate impression of HK. For me HK is a concrete forest. But my friend proved me wrong. He took my husband and I for a day trip. First he took us to Plover Cove Reservoir. All I could see was a long dam for nature lovers to walk on or bike on, open country-side with trees... More

From Tai Po Market you can catch either 75K or the 20c green mini bus to Tai Mei Tuk. From there follow the signs for Plover Cove Reservoir. The walk across the dam is a bit long but flat and there are quite a few people on bicycles. You are rewarded with spectacular views across the reservoir and the surrounding... More

We did a wonderful walk with superb views of the reservoir. Take the 275R from Tai Po market MTR station on a Sunday only. Get off at the Brides Pool terminus. Walk up the road for about 100 meters and take the Pat Sin Leng Nature Trail. The trail is not too difficult and your efforts are rewarded by lovely... More

Plover Cove is one of those places where local people go to relax but don't get a look in on many travel guides. As local expats say this part of HK is the dark side. Meaning I suppose away from the neon lights. It's a beutiful part of HK that not many tourist will get to hear about or get... More

It is a very nice place to explore either on foot or wheel. We took many video and pictures when we were there. Right beside the reservoir, you will see people canoe and windsurf with the urban Hong Kong as their backdrop. You don't find much tourist there so it seems like this is off the beaten track.
