We caught the ferry to Sok Kwu Wan, enjoyed a nice seafood lunch and some beers then tackled the walk to Yung Shue Wan. Not an easy walk but some great views along the way. "the Island Bar" was a very welcome sight!!

Went there to look for houses on rent , a bit cheaper than the mainland which was great as the scenery is idealic But was quite challenging to get back late night specially in bad weather

Once a quiet fishing village with some good eats, it's now just a long line of people walking from one ferry pier on one part of the island to the other part.

We went here and enjoyed a day on the lovely Hung Shing Ye Beach. Short boat ride, short walk to the beach, plenty of restaurants and shops on the way and by the beach.

There are many dogs and other animals there, but many flies. The ferry was pretty good at the back of the ship. The air is fresh, the food is good and the peoples are friendly.

We caught the ferry over' and walked around the island including the added loop down the bottom end. All paths well signposted and fab views throughout. Plenty of places for lunch and lots of drink stops on trails.

Really enjoyed our day trip to Lamma Island by ferry - cheap fare, and short trip (about 30 mins) to Yung Shue Wan and a great sunset on the way back (sun sets at about same time every day, it was about 6.30pm for us)....More

Plan to spend the whole day here. Relax/swim on one of the beaches and enjoy great seafood at any of the restaurants.

If you take the slow ferry across (only about 20 minutes longer), you will arrive at the town of Sok Kwu Won (I think) with more restaurants. Many are under the same management. Just look in the aquaria until you see the... More

The only way to Lamma Island is by ferry at Central Pier. To be exact - "Take ferry from Central Pier 4 to Sok Kwu Wan", should take around 30-40 minutes. From Kowloon to Central Pier you have two options (1) By MTR - Hop... More
