I would not really go there unless you were aiming for seafood because there really isn't much there to look at. The seafood is great though.

A friend recommended visiting Lamma. It was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Ride over to Yung Shue Wan and take the signed walk over to Sok Kwu Wan (or vice versa). The walk took us about an hour and...More

Book at the Rainbow Restaurant and they send their boat to pick you up. The seafood is very fresh and in abundance. The prices are quite steep as this is a very popular destination

The ferry journey is a delight and soon you find yourself on the island of Lamma. A short walk from the dock gets you into Banyan Tree bay and onto the cross island trek. Easily accessible walk for a normally fit person. Make sure you...More

I have not been this island for years since my secondary school life but I visited it again today and found it extremely boring and lacking of characteristics as an outlying island in Hong Kong. There is only several ordinary seafood and Thai restaurants, and...More

We didn't go expecting to walk much but we did. Like I say, this is literally the other face of HK other than the sky scrapers and modern buildings... Suggest one reach the island early morning via ferry and walk to the other ferry and...More

Can I please get some Lamma Island (near Hong Kong) restaurant recommendations for a lunch early April, on a Friday - early-ish to get the ferry back to HK Island for a 3 pm function before the 7s Rugby starts? Don't want to hike miles (group of 8 friends, in early 60s)?

If you take the slow ferry across (only about 20 minutes longer), you will arrive at the town of Sok Kwu Won (I think) with more restaurants. Many are under the same management. Just look in the aquaria until you see the... More

The only way to Lamma Island is by ferry at Central Pier. To be exact - "Take ferry from Central Pier 4 to Sok Kwu Wan", should take around 30-40 minutes. From Kowloon to Central Pier you have two options (1) By MTR - Hop... More
