The indoor market is but one part of the experience. If you like a vibrant authentic market area where the locals haggle and shop, you will love this place. The wet market stalls are as authentic as they come. Most of the fish are alive...More

I spent around half a day at Tai Po Market and streets nearby. I find that this is a uniquely cute community; I saw the real local people and normal life activities. I saw a lot of elderly people sit and relax at the community...More

We frequently visited the food stalls on second floor of Tai Po market because they provided a budget meal with exceptional good taste and fine quality. I usually spent twenty dollars for a lunch set before playing table tennis on fifth floor. Occasionally I came...More

Tai Po Market town. Important centre of New Territories living. Huge population spread over a large area who all come shopping at Tai Po market. Life centers around the garden square and the municipal market which has several famous outlets for meats and spices.

Not much to see here except the large indoor markets with fresh fish and veg etc. The streets are quite different to other parts of HK with lots of outdoor stalls. This is where the locals come to stock up on their goods. Not catered...More
