We were very disappointed that this walk through aviary was closed for several months due to renovation work, so if you are going specially to see this, check with the tourist authorities if it is open as usual.
We were looking forward to a trip here so badly! We approached from the side of the Peak Tram and struggled to get into the aviary. We then discovered that most sections were cordoned off but there was a map that kept pointing us to...More
Have been here on a previous trip in Hong Kong Park and enjoyed it very much. Sorry to see it’s closed on this visit because looked forward to another visit here. In Hong Kong Park saw wild cockatiels howling in the trees! Wednesday mornings there...More
A very relaxing place. Situated in the middle of Hong Kong Park. Free to visit. A good way to teach youngsters about bird wildlife. It’s an easy 10 minute walk through or you could actually spend hours here.
This is a large and beautiful aviary centrally-placed in the city. The animals are spry and seem healthy, and we were able to enter just as the attraction was closing. The staff was especially friendly, and the entire experience was a highlight of our Hong...More
Unlike mainland China, Hong Kong knows how to treat our furry and feathery brethren. The birds in this aviary are a good weight, healthy and happy. They sing all day alongside the common wild birds that also frequent the park. A pleasant little place to...More
Located in Hong Kong Park, this is a great way to spend a half hour or an hour. It’s probably not a very common destination for tourists, so that makes it even more appealing. I slowly walked through the Aviary and took lots of time...More
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of
quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
