I needed some new luggage and raced in here quickly to grab some. Helpful assistants and friendly service made the whole experience pain free. Also a decent menswear department for basics such as sweaters and underwear. A small, user friendly department store with sensible family pricing. Heartily recommended for affordable basics. Pay at the central cashiers, ask for a discount... More

One of the most unpleasant retail experiences I have ever had. I could not make my purchase until the one woman who knew the correct prices came back from lunch (and also from smoking a cigarette). The department (bedding) was a disgraceful mess making it nearly impossible to sort through the merchandise. Product was haphazardly displayed and not one item... More

Love the basement and small electronics department - the whole world is present there any any price point you might dream off(or not). Good sales people who can communicate perfect in English - while it is and it has to remain a typical Hong Kong old school department store ...

Good n big basement with kitchen and bathroom ware. Impressive selection of pots and pans. Upstairs, the children's section has a lot of variety from bottle nipples to car seats. Bit of a go to place for new mothers to be.

It has a good traditional Dept Store layout. More Debenhams that John Lewis but has a wide range of clothing lines across the price range. It makes a change from the high end expensive side of town where as one TA put it you shop with gold bars ! The staff were quite friendly and helpful.

I bought my kitchen appliances such as mixer, kettle and vacuum cleaner from Wing On Department Store. They have a good variety of well known European brands.

I love this place. They have everything a good department store should and quality. Great shoes, bags, outdoor wear and sales. Great service as well. The only downside is that you can't just take something to the till and pay. You leave the product, take a purchase slip to the till, pay, take the receipted slip back to the relevant... More

Wing On department store is a local one with long history. Every year several big sales worthy to explore as discounted products are offered. For VIP, pre sales is attractive.

There are three Wing On Department Stores in Hong Kong, including this large (main) shop in Sheung Wan. This is a locally owned and managed department store mostly dealing in home appliances and goods that are required by local residents but not so much by visitors to Hong Kong. They do carry some consumables like toiletries, cosmetics, beauty and health... More

Wing on is a standard department store for local Hong Kong people. The store includes electronics, home goods, bath items, etc. If you are a tourist visiting Hong Kong and walk by, you can take a step in but it really isn't something special or somewhere that you would want to go shopping.

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
