Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In contrast to the colourful street stalls of Stanley Market, this is just a small, relatively modern shopping centre with a large carpark and an open, paved piazza area. It has a range of clothes and specialty shops, a few restaurants and cafes, a Starbucks and fast food outlets like McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut. I rarely find myself at the plaza as it is just a mall and doesn't appeal to me much. However, it fills a gap at Stanley and will suit some people, especially those looking for clean bathrooms and somewhere easy to go with children.
One nice feature is a deck that overlooks the historic Murray House and the sea. Someone with an over-active imagination has named it ‘Lovers’ Terrace’. This is a big claim for what is just a wooden deck in a shopping centre. On the other hand, it is free and it does have a good view.

Several interesting small and individual shops and also a few eating places and an icecream parlour. If one goes to Stanley, one should take time to visit Stanley Plaza. I am glad that we did!

Stanley Plaza is in the super-rich, millionaire or billionaire neighborhood of Hong Kong. If you are not driving, this scenic Stanley Plaza can be reach by bus near Regal Hong Kong Hotel and Jardine's Bazaar Street at Causeway Bay. The bus takes you almost to the top of the hill, passing the International French School, and you get off the bus at Stanley Plaza Bus Stop. From Causeway Bay, it takes about half an hour one way. Besides shopping, this is a Must See Tourist Attraction because the bay is so beautiful and you will see many hi-rise, hundreds of floors, residential buildings built on hillsides and in the valleys.

Stanley Plaza is a shopping complex situated at the end of the waterfront in the seaside community of Stanley on the southern shores of Hong Kong Island. It opened in 2001 providing indoor retail shopping and additional coffee shop and restaurant options, some with alfresco seating for local residents and tourists visiting Stanley.
There are several floors of lifestyle and other retail shops and some nice elevated deck and floor views of the sea. Shops and restaurants here are a nice complement to what you'll find along the promenade and the nearby street market referred to as the Stanley Market.
Other interesting sightseeing in the area include the historic Tin Hau Temple and small Tai Wong Temple which flank the Plaza, the Murray House and Blake Pier.

Took a taxi from Victoria Point to spend's the afternoon here. Lots of interesting shops. We had a nice lunch at local eatery. My wife purchased several hand made jewelry pieces from local artist at craft fair inside the plaza.

This multi-level and multi-purpose complex is well designed and created out of the mountainside facing the sea. It has an escalator connecting different levels. True, it's a product partially for tourists but let's not forget the well-heeled local residents in Stanley who also need a convenient place to shop for groceries, clothings and have a meal at many of the restaurants with commanding ocean views. There are just too many open places where you can just sit down and have a drink to while away an afternoon or evening. If you are not adventurous enough, there are your all familiar Starbucks and McDonald as well.
Getting there from TST or other parts of HK is both easy and inexpensive and I can guarantee you the ride there is in itself a scenic and thrilling one. Just take a double-deck bus heading to Stanley (from TST East, take 973) which goes up and down the mountain with sharp turning and narrow roadway. It passes through Deep Water Bay and then Repulse Bay which you can stop by for a tan or swim if you want to do it all in one day. Going left on the ground level along the watfronts, you will find a lot of pubs and restaurants where the majority of customers are expats.

Enjoyed my visit to Stanley Plaza. It is quite a reclusive area where you can eat, relax or walk around and enjoy the seaside or the sea breeze. Going in Winter is definitely recommended; I'd prefer to walk around with cold rather than warm wind! There are plenty of restaurants to eat at, so tourists are spoilt for choice. Any time of the day is good, but after lunch til dinnertime is quite a nice time to go. Public transportation is slightly limited, but there are routes to major hubs like Central and Aberdeen, so it is still accessible. Getting there by car is convenient, but parking is an issue especially during holidays and peak times.
Overall, a good place for a family outing, couples or anyone else! The Stanley market nearby has got lots to buy and look at, so definitely set aside time for that.

Stanley Plaza is a modern mall that you walk through to get from the bus terminus to the promenade and it is full of shops and restaurants. The escalators make it an easy place to navigate. Also it is a cool place to people watch.

Great place to be. Right on the waterfront and piazza.
Some good trendy restaurants in the plaza looking to the sea and piazza below. And lots more restaurants too at Murray Building.
A good trip destination as there's Stanley's only decent carpark which gets full very early.
