For the complete Peak experience without the tourist traps, ride up on Bus # 15, and start the hike at Lugard road, with its numerous overlooks - then hike up to High West at the intersection with Hatton and Harlech. There are many steep steps,...More

Awesome is a much used adjective but in this case it fits perfectly. The climb, many steps, was challenging for me, (56yrs reasonably fit but not used to inclines). The views are 360degrees over Hong Kong and, if you have a clear day truly are...More

I went up there from the stairs side, quite easy and at the top the view is nice. Although the sky isn't quite clear recently, it's recommended to go this trail if you want to enjoy a nice view without much effort.

This place is a gem amidst the maddening crowd of HK, and I'd probably start to consider serious hiking in HK in the future because of this peak. It was an accidental "trekking" while the group made it up to the Peak at about 4pm....More

This is somewhat of the beaten track so you will find mostly hikers and runners but in my opinion offers the best views of Hong Kong. It's not very well signposted but if you turn left at the pavilion off the morning trail at the...More

Follow this trail for a view for an unmatched view of Hong Kong (and all for free). Skip the sky terrace and come here. This is much better and offers a truly spectacular view. It's a quiet, uninterrupted 360 degree view of the city and...More

Its not easy to find the trail but that is a good thing. I did the mount Augustus peak in the same day which is amazing but crowded. High west peak is quiet and spectacular.
