The Turbo Jet ferries are fast, and divided in three classes (actually four, but to make it easy: three); Premium hosts seats directly at the front of the boat, with views and spacious leather seats and free drinks and catering throughout the 45 minutes ride from Island to Macau. It is really fast and commutes every 30 minutes.

My main recommendation if you are considering Turbojet is to book in advance (the on line booking site works just fine). Treat this journey more like an airline flight rather than hopping on a Star Ferry. The boats are overwhelmed by demand from day-trippers and get very, very full. If you need to change your time, or eg, get to... More

Herded like so many goats, which I guess we are when travelling in the hundreds per day. Staff are abrupt and bark orders. It wouldn't kill them to be civil, surely.

Travelled with turbojets from macau to kowloon in their super class from outer ferry terminal. Their superclass waiting lounge is nothing more than joke .. poorly fitted with a few chairs in a corner that feel more like a detention room. No priority boarding instead we were ushered to leave later than the general group. Seats were tired looking, snack... More

During our recent stay in Hong Kong the weather was unfortunately very rainy. The plans for a "beach day" turned iinto a wonderful adventure aboard the TurboJet Ferry from Kowloon to Macau. To be frank we had not planned to visit Macau but we decided to take a day trip on the ferry. Turbojet from Kowloon was an unexpected treat.... More

We took the Turbojet ferry from Hong Kong to Macau and it took 1 hour. We took the one way ticket not knowing what time we would return back at night. Ferry was every hour and we took the 12:30pm ride. It leaves from China Ferry terminal in Kowloon. Price is ok. Once inside you will have to stay inside... More

We actually took this ferry from the airport. We booked Super Class tickets. Super Class includes a light meal that none of us liked so I would recommend just buying normal class tickets. The only other thing included was priority disembarking from the ship. From the airport to make it about 80 minutes due to speed regulations in the harbour... More

This is a rapid and efficient service between Hong Kong and Macau. Possibility of Macau from airport also but runs less frequently. Crossing from HK to Macau takes an hour.

I've taken the TurboJet a number of times, on two different routes. It's a hassle-free and convenient way to travel to and from Macau, either from HKIA, Kowloon or Hong Kong. They also have a small number of mainland departures, though I can't attest to their quality. The ferries were always well-maintained, sometimes with seats assigned at boarding, sometimes with... Turbo jet is efficient, quick and cheap... So i give it a 4 star. I use it to go to mainland china points that take too long by other means of transportation and mostly to go to MACAU. Its a great inexpensive way to travel and get there quickly and effortlessly. The Turbo Jet is run on time and rarely... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
