We walked from Central to Pier 6 for the fast ferry to Lantau. It was £3 each (HKD $30) Which for a 25 minute fast crossing was fabulous value for money. We bought the tickets in the kiosk but you can use your Octopus card,...More

A comfortable return trip to Mui Wo from Central on the ordinary (slow) ferry. We travelled deluxe class, which offers airconditioned comfort away from the crowds. Well worth the extra few dollars to upgrade the seats from those downstairs.

Found the First Ferry service to Cheung Chau clean, reasonable fast, well priced with frequent services. The ferry is easily caught from near the Staf Ferry Terminal or MTR station Plus you get a great view equivalent to a harbour cruise day or night

We took the ferry across to Lantau on a Sunday, if you time it wrong you can have a wait for the next one (usually 30 mins) but the views across the water on the trip is worth it. Ferries are efficient & air conditioned

First Ferry is the best way to get to the islands from Central. The ferry is quite large, can seat about 300 people, and is quite decent. On busy days the ferry can reach its capacity to limit so it is better to be there...More
