Tourist Must Do

Takes longer than the MTR but costs practically nothing. Less than .50 Cents. Great views on clear days. Takes apprx 15 min.

Once the only way to travel from the Kowloon to the island, the Star Ferries are still the best. It's also a ridiculously cheap way to enjoy some of the best views of Victoria harbour either by day or night. The top deck is supposedly more comfortable but the lower deck may be even better for photos. Either way there... More

This is a very unique experience. Travelling across Hong Kong's busy water way on a very cheap boat. They boats are regular and offer something different from travelling on the MTR.

The star ferry is a really good way to get from one side to the other, on the MTR you go under the harbour, so you miss heaps, you see so much from the ferry, so make sure you try it out, it is very inexpensive.

Taking the star ferry from zhuhai to hongkong. It is clean, the immigration process was easy and a breeze. Check jn process also ok. For those with ao many luggages might consider to check in their luggage with fee. Since we were taking it from zhuhai, the fee was 40 rmb per 1 luggage.

We just visited Hong Kong and found this a great way to travel between our hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui and Hong Kong island. While not quite as quick as the MTR, the views were well worth the extra couple of minutes travel time. We made good use of both the Central and Wan Chai terminals.

Ok this is not the super modern way of transportation but this is super convenient and fast, not to mention that of course being outside is nicer than always underground. Of course not an option with the high temperature and humidity.
