The star ferry was a nice quick trip. No frills and filled with tourists from all over the world. It was fun!

This is the original ferry ride for Hong Kong taking you between HK island and Kowloon. The very short trip offers some wonderful views and is well worth experiencing. There's not much more to say other than it is cheap.

We found the price to be great value even for the light show cruise. And found we were almost alone on the boat. There is plenty of inside seating and space to stand on deck. We had read the light show is better from the bank as you get the music and the commentary but our cruise had looped this... More

Even if you travel around Hong Kong mainly via metro or taxi etc, you should do this crossing at least once.

The Star Ferry runs from Tsim Sha Tsui to Hong Kong island and is a good value way to get up close and personal with the Hong Kong skyline. The walk down from the station was longer than we had expected and the day was hazy, but I would still rate this is as a "must do".

Took the ferry from Kowloon to visit the peak at HongKong Island. It was inexpensive and comfortable enough. Just got ourselves tickets (token) from automated machine and we were on the ferry.

Its a good way to cross over the channel. You can get some good views of kowloon and hong kong island. The price is cheaper than the subway but the terminals since they are along the waterfront, you have a longer walk to get there.

The Ferry is an Icon in Hong Kong and a must for anyone visiting. You get to see the amazing skyline... Best done at night to see the lights.

With the reclamation of land yearly, soon the ferry will be a thing of the past, as you may eventually be able to walk across the harbour, or at least that is the local joke, as the ride is getting shorter. From the ferry you can have the best view of Victoria Harbour. A great time to go is during... More
