Causeway Bay, accessible by trams which pass by the main street of the area, or MTR subway, is a huge shoppers delight. Along with The Sogo Department Store. If you are not out to shop, try visiting during lunch time . The mass of humanity as workers flood out of office towers for lunch is breathtaking. Just stand back and watch or get in the middle of the crush. There are many office tower malls like Hysan or Times Square and a plethora of small mom and pop shops. You are sure to find something to buy.

Incredibly busy place, people everywhere! Lots of shops - both high end and a bit more regular - there were even stalls run y locals which was nice to see. The area was ok - but not a 'must see' in Hong Kong. Heading down to the sea for a stroll was quieter and had a much better view!

Neighbourhood: Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.

首先講吓個湯, 好重南瓜🎃味, 個面仲有啲紅忌廉，跟住到個蟹肉沙律🥗 蟹肉 同 三文魚子都非常鮮！賣相亦都好靚😊 主菜嚟啦！就係5成熟嘅Tenderloin, 煮嘅火候控制得岩岩好呀😋食落有口感之餘 亦好有牛味🤤

High energy district with loads of people, traffic and shopping

Causeway Bay (CWB) is a district in the northeast side of Hong Kong Island bordered by Wanchai to the west and North Point to the east. This is a high energy area of the city with loads of street and pedestrian traffic as well as shopping opportunities.

As mentioned, CWB is very popular for shopping and includes a cluster of malls, centres, department stores and the likes within a short walking distance from the Causeway Bay MTR Station. These include Times Square, Hysan Place, Lee Gardens, SOGO Department Store, IKEA, Windsor House, Fashion Walk as well as several other smaller centres and a giant Don Don Donki Japanese discount shop as well.

There are loads of casual eateries, coffee shops and bars in the district as well as a few hotel options in the area. The very large Victoria Park is in CWB. The district also includes the Tai Hang and Tin Hau neighbourhoods. There are a couple of heritage temples in those neighbour areas. Similarly the Typhoon Shelter on the coastline and the Noon Day Gun are other historically interesting sights in CWB.

清酒愛好者必試，11款清酒2.5小時任喝 + 高質日本料理。

銅鑼灣百德新街(食街)經過一輪時間後又翻新了，換了不少新餐廳後又可以在滿足我的好奇心和口腹之欲了～

這家日本料理主打是多款清酒、梅酒、啤酒2.5小時放題，如果你愛好杯中之物又自問酒量好的話不妨一試。

食物方面，質素也很高，食材也非常新鮮。天婦羅、鰻魚、串烤、刺身、壽司等等不能盡錄，每一款都很有質素，沒有一款不好吃。

特別喜歡其中有一款辣汁吞拿魚卷，感受到刺身的鮮甜之外還有帶有一種香辣的味覺刺激。

Shopping in SOGO with a local
Nov. 2019
There were not many places we could go on a Friday evening with the unrest, one of my local colleagues took me shopping at SOGO for the Thankful sales - lots of bargains. Enjoyed the experience and picked up a great designer handbag very cheaply and evening shoes that feel like slippers. The drive is worth the trip, Causeway Bay is vibrant and lots to catch your eye.

If shopping is on your calendar, then Causeway Bay is a good option for relatively inexpensive items. Shopping Malls have exclusive brand name products if that is what you are looking for. Anyway, Causeway Bay is very crowded and has many small mom and pop stores, kiosks and hole in the wall shops. You may find most electrical, phone and accessories but it will all be from China. Check labels and know names so you have something that will last a few months once you arrive at home. And know electric currents also. Most products will fit HK currents. An interesting walk around even if not shopping. Many restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. All flat surfaces for wheelchair accessibility. And a big SOGO Department Store.
