This park is located beside the river and only a few minutes walk from the city centre plaza and train station. It has an open-air pavilion. There is a play park for children.

Good park with waterwall and many places for the rest. Golden fishes in the small lake. Nice pavilions.

I'm always surprised by how relaxing and enjoyable Sha Tin Park can be, especially after enduring the maddening crowds of New Town Plaza Mall just beside the park. One of the things I like about the Sha Tin Park are the traditional Chinese style gardens which are situated around this large 8 hectre public space. Opening hours 6.30am to 11pm... More

Beautiful park. Quite big and spacious. Absolutely beautiful to look at. Well maintained and lots of sitting areas. Waterfall and pond with fish and a stream. Nice paths to walk. I found this near the museum I followed the sign posts. Maybe one of the nicest parks I've been too!

So relaxing to strol on a warm sunny winter afternoon in this green area while thousands of shoppers are busy picking their favourite commodities in the malls nearby.

Looking the map, it seems very big but actually it is not as big as our expectation. However the park in the middle of the town is so nice but seems lack of maintenance compared to the park in the main HK island.

You can already see 2016 Chinese New Year displays at Sha Tin Park. Year of the Monkey themed decorations are located in the open grass, fountain and pool area in front of the Town Hall building. They include small lights which will make them interesting to see after dark as well. If you enjoy sculptures, there is an interesting City... More

Lots to see and do - water features, waterfalls, fountains, sculpture, interesting plants and rockery, pagodas and a riverside walk. The park is also divided into various areas with different planting schemes. Walk from Sha Tin centre also lined with street art.

We stayed at the Royal Park Hotel and the park was just a less than 5 minute walk from our hotel. We visited a couple of times during our stay at night and also during the day. Lots of locals in the park doing daily exercises and dancing. Very lovely park to enjoy the day in. Next time will spend... More
