We walked about 16km along well marked paths marvelling in beautiful scenery through the mountains .... though not too steep or strenuous. At the end a very attractive beach to relax and the a boat back to the town. Wonderful memories.

We did this trail starting from the Lok Fu train station/shopping center. You start off by going through some apartment building terraces and then boom, you are in nature. This route is about half paved with lots of steps. The second half is steps made...More

If you want to enjoy the nature after tired of the modern concrete city life, you should take time off to have hike on the trail. There are many entrances for the trail. Find some friend and go for hike.

Only did the section two of this trail, already very impressed with the views, well marked paths criss cross through mountain ranges, and pristine beaches. Also it is easily accesible via public transportation, and so close to the metropolitan, good oasis and escape from all...More

This trail passes through many kilometres of forest and rural landscape. It has many steep parts which eventually afford wonderful views. There are many access points which usually are fairly close to public transport.

Average trail. My interest in the trail was the geological park at the end and walking through nice beaches and paths... But you walk on the road that taxis use to go and pick you up at the end. However, if you want, you can...More

If you are tired from the shopping and eating, Sai Kung area is actually nice for recreation with its scenic dams and hills. MacLehose trail brings you into the forests and beaches in this area. Camping facilities also available and also local homestay.

Hi KaiHG, So I didn't go in April but since the walk is quite long and split in different sections, maybe if you tell people what section you're planning on doing, they'll be able to help. I guess not all the sections are... More
