North Point Tram Station at Chun Yeung Wet Market

North Point is more of a residential area than a touristy area on Hong Kong Island. A few point of interest is the North Point Tram Station at Chun Yeung Wet Market.

It's an area with lots of hotels and restaurants, not much else for a tourist. Also there are some small shops all over the place. You can easily walk from there to Victoria Park or Causeway Bay.

We have stayed in Tsim Sha Tsui on our previous trips to HK and this time we wanted to stay in a more residential/older part of HK. North Point has all the transport options covered with train, bus and tram at your call. The tram costs $2.30hk to go to Central and if sitting upstairs on tram you get a... More

There's not a whole lot to do in North Point but it's worth a quick visit if you're looking for a lazy afternoon. Take the Tram (Ding Ding) from Central all the way there. Sit up top so that when you pull into the final stop, you can look down at the markets. It's pretty cool. Stop in the shops... More

This is mainly residential and a little quite. Local shops and markets. Can be accessed via MTR or ferry from Hung Hom ferry terminal

I have only ever stayed in North Point in Hong Kong. There are some of the cheapest restaurants you can find with good quality food, also there are many second hand and charity shops where you can find yourself some bargains. Aswell as lots of markets and outdoor sellers of pretty much everything.

The South China Hotel north Point needs some TLC, but the staff are friendly and helpful and paying a realistic price which included breakfast made it even better value. there was a good choice of foods, sadly no cereals and the milk was from a tin but it was fresh and hot and served with a smile. The airport buses... More

Here in North Point you can find local shops where you can buy Fujian food and you can find small restaurants, congee or noodle shops.

I also missed the Museum of HK defender which is in the area. I walked round a little and like others found its interesting in that it's older mid rise HK still busy but down a notch. The MTR Island line link and the Ferry to Kowloon bay are near to each other. The east end of the city is... More
