The first hill is relatively easy - a few up hill climbs and alot of beautiful scenery. The Twin Peaks are tough and not for the unfit - 1000 + steps to the top, followed but a further peak of another 300 steps. Well worth the view of Stanley on the other side!

I took bus 6 from Hkg station bus terminal and get off at 黃泥涌水塘公園站 to Stanely. It is a bit easier than the other way around. Still there are a lot of stairs non stop going up. Bring enough water as no place to refill. It took me 2 hours to finish this section. View 黃泥涌水塘公園站as fantastic

I hike Wilson One two-three times a week. One of the more challenging trails but well worth it. Beautiful views, clear/clean/fresh views. NOT for inexperienced hikers - lots of steps and tough terrain. Be sure to both travel light and pack supplies (water, sunscreen, hat, camera). It's very beautiful at sunset and at night. It's s major trail for TrailWalkers... More

We did the hike from Parkview to Stanley today. Twin peaks 300+m up and down. Many many steps - easily over 1000. Steep in places. Tougher coming down than up. V beautiful views. Took us 4 + hours.

Took the Express bus to Stanley from Central, and hiked back via Wilson Trail section 1 ending in Parkview. It took us just over two hours. It was +30 C in the shade and the sun stroke from a clear sky so it was very hot. Quite a climb to begin with, when you get on the trail from the... More

This is a lovely trail with lots of options to branch out on other routes as well. However, it is well known as a great hiking option in HK, so it can become quite crowded on the weekend. Also, if you're not used to hiking in HK, be aware that there are often cement steps on the trails, which can... More

Be warned, Stage 1 of the Wilson Trail starting in Stanley is a really hard slog. The trail is immediately up a hill from the start and your legs will be tired unless you are fit. However, the hard work is worth it for the great views and stunning countryside on offer. The numerous steps down the Twins have become... More

I went to HK on a spur-of-the-moment weekend trip thinking I'd be stuffing my face and flashing my credit card. A friend convinced me to do this hike to "pre-burn" lunch, and I'm so glad I did. The twins and violet hill are not terribly easy but they are very easily managed as long as you're OK walking for 3-4... More

We hiked the section over the Twins to Stanley, stairs pretty much the whole way. A really great workout, turned my legs to jelly. our kids 10-13 all did it without problem. The views are awesome, well worth the couple hours. I would skip this if it's hot out, very little shading and such a workout that you could over... More

I wrote a review last month after doing the easier scenic portion of section 10. This time we decided to challenge ourselves and took a walk rated as "medium" difficulty level - I would have rated it as medium to difficult! This is the walk starting from Parkview and ending at Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir. You can start in reverse... More
