- Fredric JohnDubai, United Arab Emirates848 contributionsThings to do in Kowloon ParkIf you’re a tourist in Hong Kong, I suggest that you spend just about a whole day here in Kowloon Park. There’s a lot to do in one area. They have a museum (which was closed when I got there due to renovation), an aviary section, comic book statues (I really like), and much more. The place is well-maintained all throughout. It was a fantastic way to see Hong Kong in this kind of area.Visited November 2023Travelled soloWritten 23 November 2023
- Dan LBunbury, Australia8,541 contributionsSo much to see here.We head to this park on each visit to Hong Kong in the hope that we can see the elderly Chinese singing traditional songs and playing traditional instruments. Alas, it was not to be this time and we spent some time meandering through the area until the heat and humidity became overwhelming. Beautiful Park area with much flora, gardens, aviaries, walking tracks, sculptures and fountain. Great sporting facilities for a range of activities, a large aquatic centre, waterpark and so on. The ice-cream kiosk provided a pleasant interlude for a short time. Definitely a must do when visiting but can be very uncomfortable if temperatures and humidity is high.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 December 2023
- L18SUMStirling, United Kingdom2,055 contributionsFun parkOur family of two adults, a 9 year old and a 6 year old visited here during the busy Chinese New Year holidays. It's a fun park in the heart of Kowloon accessible along Nathan Road. We entered at Park Lane and exited by the mosque en route to the Star Ferry terminal. We enjoyed the exhibits along the way and it's great to let young children run around (inside the park) in such a busy city. Enjoy!Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 29 February 2024

Also has a swimming pool and quite a lot of benches to sit down. Many maps around to help navigate since there are many different points of entry Saw 2 stray cats so that is a bonusVisited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 May 2024
- Christian MCopenhagen, Denmark5,971 contributionsA Lovely Oasis - with Clean ToiletsWandering around a skyscraper city like Hong Kong is exciting and wonderful - but sometimes you just need to sit on a bench in green surroundings and relax to the sound of birds chirping instead of frantic traffic noise. You might also need a clean toilet unexpectedly. Kowloon Park provides both. There are very nice toilets at the entrance where the swimming pool is located.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 June 2024
- Pioneer117501673971 contributionThe best poolAlways good as usual , to wear flipflop is a good idea in general . When people writing about their s infection they got , they should keep in mind that chloride kills bacteria and ground cleaning on one day in a week is totally standard for other Seaparks pools ectr. If you get skin irritation or you had a bad day in general don't blame it to the pool. Better stay home. Kowloon park is great!! 😃Visited May 2024Travelled soloWritten 18 July 2024

Hong Kong is a big bustling city but I was surprised by all the trees and parks throughout the city. My favorite park was Kowloon Park, it was beautiful, massive, and provided a lot of relaxing activities. You could come here to relax, watch wildlife, people watch, etc. I did enjoy the flamingos and turtles. I was also fascinated by the huge trees here and their roots. There are a lot of trails here and places to exercise, so this park can be experienced by both locals and tourists. I would say you need at least an hour here to walk through, but it is such a pleasant escape from the huge city.

The park is very well equipped and you will find almost everything you need for relaxation and entertainment.
The children's playground, the walking trail, the exercise trail, the gym and the swimming pool is very well equipped.
It's very easily accessible and the swimming pool and the gym are of reasonable pricing.
Through the park, there are many shortcuts that take you to Tsim Sha Tsui, Jordan and West Kowloon. There is also shortcut to the China Hong Kong City shopping mall.
The indoor facilities include a sports centre with an arena, squash courts, dance rooms and a fitness centre. The changing rooms are very clean and well maintained.
The outdoor facilities include a Piazza, a soccer pitch, walking trails, gardens and many more.
There is an aviary and a bird lake as well.
Suits the needs of all ages ranges!
Occasionally there are fun fairs and carnivals held at the Piazza (remember to check out the schedule online if you would like to visit them).

This is a relatively huge park considerig the fact that it is located in the bustling Tsim Sha Tsui area. The southeast entrance is conveniently located next to the A1 exit of the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. In comparison, the entrance from Canton Road on the west side of the park requires climbing a long stretch of zigzagly paths to reach the inside of the park. Not to be missed is the Bird Lake located in the central part of the park. Lots of flamingos can be found here. Note that because of its size, there are many walking paths winding through the park and it is easy to get lost for visitors that are not familiar with the layout. Coupled with the fact that the park is located on a hilly terrain, it makes for a frustrating experience if you want to get around without getting lost.

Kowloon Park was urban park where near TST MTR station. The highlight point was pink flamingos in the bird lake. HK Avenue of Comic Stars and comic wall were also attractive and eye-watching. There were numerous small gardens for the visitors to walk around. There were children’s play area in the park so it was appropriate for the family also. However, only little birds could be seen through cages and nettings in aviary and the view was limited on the viewing cone. The environment was not crowned and comfortable so it was still worth to come if have time.

I make sure to visit Kowloon Park each time I go. Love seeing the flamingos, love watching the Kung Fu displays, love getting an icecream that is always an unusual flavour, and although it never really changes, I like to walk down the Hong Kong Avenue of Comic Stars. Kowloon Park has a variety of animals to see, there is the local swimming pool (check opening times) and once you are in there it doesn't feel like you are in the middle of a bustling town of traffic, people, skyscrapers, noise; they all melt away. Kowloon Park is a favourite place for me to go on Kowloon Island purely to get away from it all. Great place for a picnic. If you love Kowloon Park but then are heading over to Hong Kong Island, check out Hong Kong Park also, it is where their zoo is.

From which nearest entrance to the park i will go if i just want to visit the avenue of comic stars and that stairs with diffrnt characters?
Written 20 November 2018
Nathan Road is the entrance to the stairs where the characters are. Which is next to the shop on Nathan road, the nearest MTR are Jordan and Tsim sha Tsui station, the stairs I would say are directly in the middle of both stations so nil are closer and both stations are on Nathan Road, depending on which exit from the station you take. Have a great time like I did. Andrew from Scotland

Is the swimming pool heated? Charges?
Written 16 September 2018
None of the pools are heated, however with the heats both day and night the outdoor pools are warms, but it’s a horrible yucky sticky feeling water the indoor pool is cold, please take care of your self here, as I left with a real bad ear infection here and I seen another with athletic foot so wear sandle’s! I’m only just back about a month

What is the best park Kowloon Park or Hong Kong Park ?
How much time do I need to visit?
Written 13 September 2017
I like both in different ways. I would decide purely based on which one is closer to you.
I'd allow 1 hour for Hong Kong Park and 2 hours for Kowloon Park.
Main difference is Kowloon Park is flat with multiple sections you can't see each other from.
Whereas Hong Kong Park is built on a mountain and also has multiple sections, but the selling point is you can see down the hill and into the central skyline buildings.

When is the swimming pool in kowloon park open please?
Written 6 February 2017
Go google using "kowloon park hong kong swimming pool" and you will see their hours posted. Entry fee is less than US$2.00 and usage of locker is US$1.00.
Not sure I would go there now, it is kind of chill there this time of the year.

I am having a very quick stop over in Hong Kong. As it is my first time to this amazing city I am hoping to get a chance to look around. I first though I would take up the Hotel offer of a tour of the Jade Market, but on reviews I have reconsidered (I do not want to shop). I am now considering Kowloon Park and on our return stop over a harbour cruise on the Star Ferry to see the Symphony of Lights.
Any quick stop over "Must Do" thoughts from Hong Kong experts?
Written 1 April 2016
Hi,
Both are great places to visit. The Kowloon Park is centrally located, next to some great street food, and with lot of lush green inside. Well organised park and u can relax for a bit there. Don't forget to visit the Avenue Of Comic Stars within the premises.
The Harbour Cruise for Symphony of Lights is a bit pricey but the cruise is air conditioned and includes a cold drink with snack. Enjoyable if u stand at the deck, they take you around and show the lighting on the skyscrapers. Though this is enjoyable, but the best views of the harbour and light show are from Avenue of stars or from the entrance of the Ritz Carlton Hotel(below Sky 100 observation deck)!(for free)
Great places to visit. Both of these shouldn't take too long. Have a wonderful time in Hong Kong. Cheers!
