It was extremely hot the day we visited the zoo. It was easily accessible by Metro. We only saw one giant panda, but it was happily eating lots of bamboo. My main criticism of the zoo was that many of the other animals had virtually NO...More

We were there in the pouring rain and off course some of the animals where hiding in their shelters. I have been to many zoos and this was not the best zoo I have seen. I did enjoy seeing the Pandas in China but we...More

The main purpose of this small zoo is the presentation of the Panda. There are the small and very nice brown Pandas and also the big black and white Panda bears. It´s the nature of these animals to spend most of the time with eating...More

to be fair - I have seen many better zoo's. Perhaps the gold-fish feeding was the only thing a bit different. Maybe the entry sculptures are worth a photo stop. That's it.

It was raining and we didn't see the baby pandas. They were inside the enclosure but 2 giant pandas were out.One was asleep and the other was eating bamboo. The grounds were immaculate. Plenty of animals, but it's the pandas we came to see.

We visited this zoo to see some pandas - they were looking quite happy as they don't really move far and seem to eat continually. Most other animals here don't have enough space. A white tiger mother paced all day as her newly born cub...More

Great little zoo, obviously highlighted by panda exhibit. Our guide was hopeful when we arrived, it was lightly raining and the pandas had just received their bamboo. We saw eight of nine and it was up close. They were very active, lots of great picture...More

Chongqing Zoo is a wonderful place to visit. Although I was excited to see the pandas, this zoo has hundreds af animals in a setting that is close to natural. The baby pandas were the highlight for me.

We visited the zoo in the last october 2014. Our Viking guide told us the only way to handle Pandas was to go thru the ministry of culture and then you have to be a government sponsored zoo keeper. The Panda is a very... More
