A great facility in the heart of the 798 Art District. As with any art centre it depends on what the exhibition is but usually worthwhile. The exhibitions are museum quality in a very large and flexible space. There is a good cafe across the street where you can sit outside if the weather allows.

We went in to the shop, uccastore and fell in love. We thought that the museum would be great but for the entrance of 30 yen we didn't get blown away. Look up what kind of exhibition they have before going in.

I love this place! Wish I lived closer to 798, but they always had interesting and compelling art exhibits, and interesting series of movies.

My visit was marked by an exhibition of William Kentridge which was absolutely spectacular! The way that different themes and mediums complemented each other throughout the exhibition created a great narrative! One of my favourite things in Beijing!

UCCA is an absolutely awesome gallery. The different types of art makes a visit of UCCA very interesting. It's located in the heart of 798 and easily to find in the Main Street of 798. The entrance fee is 10¥ per person.

I've been to the UCCA twice, once two years ago and more recently this past weekend. Both times I've been extremely impressed with the exhibits and the fun items in the gift shop. This time, I especially enjoyed the Sam Hsieh performance piece. Everything is well organized and many of the pieces offer a plaque with some sort of background... More

I saw interesting exhibitions of contemporary Indian artists and a few Chinese photographers. The curators had chosen striking pieces that really stayed with me and made me think (as well as smile).

Set in the middle of the trendy 798 area, the building itself is worth the visit. The design by a renowned French architect brings light and freshness into this 1950s industrial building. For all architecture buffs, UCCA is certainly worth the visit. Now if you're interested in or passionate about Chinese contemporary art, this is certainly a must see during... More
