We were booked for a 2 week tour that was unfortunately affected by COVID-19. We certainly understand that is beyond control of anyone. What is controllable is that we received absolutely nothing in return from our deposit and absolutely no help from China Tours. There were 4 of us booked and neither party received anything. While we understand the hardships China Tours must have faced just be aware that as a customer you have no recourse if something happens and as a company their lack of interest in even attempting to resolve an issue in any way.

This tour was just the right length. Traveling for 11 days was exhilarating and exhausting! Highlights: Beijing: Tienanmen Square the Forbidden City, the Great Wall - and the tour guide, whose nickname was King Kong :) was fantastic! Xian: The Terra Cotta Warriors - and the city walls - another great tour guide: Sophia Guilin - the Longji Rice Terraces, Reed Flute Cave Shanghai - the Bund, Yuyuan Garden, old Shanghai

Walking for 12 hours during summer in the busy crowds was an absolute killer! Luckily we had our tour guide king Kong (thats his name!!) King Kong is a lovely guy who loves basketball and had an infectious personality, with an endless amount of energy. King Kong is incredibly funny but definitely knows his history. Highly recommended King Kong!

I visited Beijing through China Tours and our guide was Kingkong. He was very knowledgeable about the history of China. Not only that, as we didn't know much he showed us the best spots to eat and we were not disappointed! KingKong really knows his stuff. I really hope China Tours acknowledges the effort he puts into his work. During the 2 days Kong took us to many different historical places. Beijing is a fantastic city and must not be missed.

My husband and I had a fabulous tour in Beijing with our guide King Kong! The entire trip went smoothly from pick up at the airport to drop off three days later at the bullet train. King Kong made sure we were well cared for the entire time and was more than game to take many pictures for us as we posed in front of the forbidden city, the Great Wall, the temple of Heaven, you name it! At the restaurants he pointed out what was good to eat and then ordered for us (neither my husband or I speak Mandarin) and he made dinner reservations for us at requested locations as well. On top of the service, King Kong says he loves his job and it shows, he enthusiastically explained the history of each site and in general was a pleasure to be with. Honestly, he was the best guide we had in China. What a great time!
