The Capital museum gave great insight into life in Beijing through time. There was also a special exhibition about Buddha. A first class museum.

They have artefacts from previous dynasties that shows the history of China. I enjoyed the different floors which also teach you about the Chinese culture. Bring your passport to obtain your free entry ticket.

the exhibitions here are mediocre in normal times. but special exhibitions are usually good. for example a collection of top archaeological discoveries in China in past 30 yrs
