Coming by in the day and night will present a different mood and look to houhai. In the day its peaceful, there are local folks walking their dogs, fishing but at night the place transforms into bustling bars and restaurants.

This was a very nice spot for visiting, having dinner and a few drinks after a day discovering Beijing. Very lively, lots of neon lights refecting on the lake, live chinese dances, restaurants, bars, boats... full of life and energy.
