It is both restful and interesting. People were playing music, singing, dancing, exercising. Lovely flowers displays line the walkways. Artistic rock displays rival the best in Guilin Park in Shanghai. We go there every time we are in Beijing.

It was alright, but for some reason I didn't like it as much as the other parks I've visited in Beijing. I would recommend Ditan park over this (though Ritan is free, which is nice)

I went to this park in the early evening and it was great to watch some of the other people using the park. There was a couple of groups performing traditional dance for example. If you are with family, there is lots to do with a play park etc for little ones and a tennis court and fitness equipment for older children/adults.

While I would not go out of my way to visit this park, I did enjoy walking through it and seeing all the activities. I recommend that you do the same if you are in neighborhood.
