A lovely peaceful park to get away from the hustle and bustle of Beijing city. There is a nice perimeter walk with a lake I the middle to complement the feeling of relaxation. Not overly busy either with plenty of space. For the more adventurous there is also a climbing wall to climb. Good place for a few hours relaxing.

This is a 10 minute walk from the Silk Market, so worth it if you have an hour spare. It is not the prettiest of parks ever, but there is a small lake and some historical monuments. Entry is free. Name in Chinese:日坛公园(Ritan Gongyuan)

Nice park to take a walk and see local people doing all kinds of crazy sports. Not too many things to do anyway, so didn't spend more than an hour here.

Beautiful park to walk round. Lots of local people dancing, exercising, singing etc. If you want to see how the locals live then I'd highly recommend and it's one of the more pretty and less touristy/busy parks in Beijing.

Once The Temple of the Sun and now a scenic park, this is an ideal place to hang out and observe the locals practicing tai-chi, sword-play, dancing or martial art. There is also a climbing wall and children's amusement park. There are a couple of cafes surrounding the park where you can stop for a cup of coffee. Toilets here... More

This park is located in heart of old Beijing, it was once the grounds of an important ancient temple. Today it is a lively place where people of all ages come to meet. Early morning is active with many many groups meeting to practise all of the traditional martial arts, as a ritual beginning of the day. The walkway around... More

This is a Temple-kind park, but its not a temple any longer. This place is ideal for a stroll. The entrance is free, the toilets are clean. You can buy drinks from vending machines if you are thirsty while you're walking.

One of the lovely parks in Beijing. Has a climbing wall, adult exercise section, grotto, children's amusement park. The grotto is very nice and worth checking out while at the park. The amusement park is quite expensive. You pay per ride so it really adds up.
