This street is a great place to walk around especially in the evening. Nobody is pushing you to buy anything. The scenery is beautiful and there are so many shops and restaurants.It was an enjoyable experience!!

This is one of the last authentic Hutongs ( neighborhoord) where people still live in. There are some chill little restaurants and quaint little shops. Explore the side streets, there is so much to see, observe the local life.

This is the most peaceful place to visit, to live, or to spend a whole life. People do not smile much, but many happy faces, people not very polite as seen in western cities' "fake NICE", but very helpful, though not everybody or every time... Many people dress pro western, but they are still typical eastern. I like everything in this "front gate" of Beijing. Here I breath a days of fresh air, when you stuck in the fake freedom fake democracy air of London or other western cities for too long.

Quite a few time honoured brands selling things such as tea, medicine, shoes and more. There is one building, 商业文化老街 (Commercial Cultural Old street(?)), which has many stalls selling interesting stuffs and souvenirs whereby you cannot find in other streets in Beijing.
