went there this morning and was told by a very annoyed military guard to leave the area straight away. closed till august 1st. I was a bit peeved off that nobody from the hotel was aware of this.

A small part of the museum is open still, if you can find it round the side of the building, displaying I think a timeline of red army struggles, but don't except much english! Not worth it unless you are in the area already.

Even under construction fun to visit. It tells the Chinese view of the eorld, which is really interesting. I personally will return when the refurbishment is finished next year.

This does have a limited number of exhibits in outside hangers whilst renovations are going on inside, but for a free attraction it is worth an hour or so of your time. I like the idea that the cars, tanks and planes look a bit...More

Unfortunately the museum is currently being renovated so many exhibits can't be seen. There are still lots of military equipment displayed outside at this site which may be of interest to some. There is little English. If you're in Beijing long term wait until the...More

Very disappointed! Old pieces of junk. There is nothing newer than 50 years in exhibit here. Not worth your time.
