Why I give this a 5? Because I live in Beijing. I agree that if you are here on a 3 day holiday then there is no reason to come to the park, but for someone who lives here, this is the best park in...More

...but I suspect most overseas tourists won't have given themselves enough time in Beijing to see the outlying city attractions such as this. The south gate of the Olympic Forest Park lies directly north of the Bird's Nest and Water Cube, about 25 minutes walk...More

This is by far my favourite place in the city! It allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is a excellent place for both just simply walking or if you feel like jogging it is good for that...More

The prefect night time stroll. I have shiny object syndrome so seeing the lighted towers water cube [swim center] all lit up was cool. The birds nest is a massive stadium makes American football stadiums seem very small.

I very much enjoy this park. It is lovely when the trees are green and the flowers are in bloom and most importantly when the air is clean. On summer days you will often see it enjoyed by Chinese families day camping with their little...More

The Olympic Forest Park has many features, natural and manmade, worth seeing while strolling the park. In March the trees are barren, but it must be something when they are in bloom.

I would not consider it a a must unless you really want to see the bird's nest. It is a nice stroll, but not a lot more.

We went here after visiting the Olympic park, great choice. You can walk a 3k or a 10k route, take a motorised car or, as we did, hire an electric boat and gently drift around the park. A big flock of heron and loads of...More

Just north of all the stadia from the olympics is the Forest Park. It is huge, divided by an eco-corridor. There's nothing truly spectacular here, but the whole place is beautifully laid out. There's a 10km tartan track for jogging (with nobody on it, given...More

The park is easy to get to - metro line , next stop after the Olympic stadium. At first it seems busy with lots of locals out to enjoy the countryside and lakes, but walk about 800 metres away from the main track and you...More
