If you love food and learning about favorite Chinese regional cuisines, then Hias Gourmet's gastro walking tours are for you. They are personalized guided tours of Beijing's tastiest neighbourhoods. Walking tours go beyond tourist areas, venturing into wholesale tea markets, ancient 'hutong' alleyways, and urban districts for restaurant hunting expeditions. These walking excursions helps you focus on select local favorites and learn about the everyday workings of this ancient capital, from a food perspective. Hias Gourmet also organizes private sightseeing trips to the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and beyond.

Shannon was a delightful "foodie" who skillfully walked us through food stalls and introduced us to various eats. Her email communications were very clear and she even accommodated us changing the day of our tour. We paid 30% up front and the rest in cash...More

Prior to our trip to Beijing we communicated several times with Shannon about the food tour, transportation to the food tour, and doing a Peking Duck dinner. She was very helpful giving us information about the subway, using the internet in China, and arranging a...More

We did a private Secret Beijing Tour and it was such a really cool way to get a unique look at Beijing food + culture. Loved it! quirky, interesting, something a bit different from your regular group tour

We did a tour with Shannon and it was great, one of the standout experiences of our time in China. We had a few food issues in our group but she was really flexible and tailored a private tour for us. Loved it.

I recommend this tour for both those who are just on a short stay in Beijing but also for long-term Beijiners that never had the courage to go to the snack streets and make their minds up in front of such a variety of tastes...More

For more than 50 USD per person, this tour was not worth it. We strolled along a couple of main streets and were not given too many details about the limited food we ate. The tour guide also brought us to people's doorways and it...More

Hi there, thanks for your question. We have a few different tours, and the price depends on which tour it is and how many people you have. Do you know which tour you want to do?
