i was expecting a larger number of old buildings, most of the lanes lacked life. what remains of the old town is disappointing

The beautifully coloured buildings are quite an eye catch. The streets are pretty full but a variety of cultural stuff is sold from food to fabrics to fragrances.

I visited the old and was saddened to see how such an old historic place just left uncared for. I wonder want the local government is thinking leaving this beautiful place to be left so rundown. It’s a cultural crime

Hi Jada, You find the official ones in front of Fort Jesus. Prices between 1500/2000 KES, for a good guide.
