Great location, great and affordable fun
Nov. 2018 • Solo
I was travelling on my own and got a matatu to the Total gas station along the highway. Using a boda boda (motorbike taxi) being the main means of transportation in that area I got my first adrenaline high.
Some believe in god, I chose to believe in the driving skills of my driver during the 5km winding unpaved road and said my personal prayers by the means of enjoying a cigarette of relief upon stepping off the motorbike.
I kind of must have enjoyed it though, cause I also opted for the same ride back to town.
If you get there during the week get a package, which includes lunch as well. I decided for a package of 2 zip lines and archery. 2 lines is 45 minutes, 6 zip lines 2 hours. A substantive amount goes into instructions and safety trainings. Whatever they tell you, they make sure that you actually understood what they say. So listen to them. It surely helps not going home with an arrow in your back or having to pull yourself from the middle of the zip line.
The scenery is amazing. Zip lining thru 700m felt like horizontal skydiving... definately go for the 6 lines if you have the time.
All staff has been very friendly - be it reception, restaurant (good food...!) or activity staff. They quite clearly enjoy what they are doing.
The only issue I encountered during the activities was tripping over my own foot. But then again, its pretty clear who to blame...

Great fun
Nov. 2018 • Family
We enjoyed a great morning at the Forest doing the 6 zip lines with John and Willy!
The lads were knowledgeable and fun and made sure we had a thrilling experience. The restaurant was pleasant and we paid for the weekday deal so cheap and ok; just a fast food menu. Ruth was lovely.
Would definitely recommend and return to do more activities in the future if we’re lucky enough to return. Thank you!

Great getaway
Sep. 2018 • Family
We booked the zip-lining and archery, and were not disappointed. The activities were great fun, and the staff was extremely friendly and professional. There is good signage all the way from the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. The restaurant had good food but the service, though pleasant, was quite slow. They seemed overwhelmed by the weekend numbers.
A couple of things to note - since you have to book activities in advance, make sure your entire team arrives in time, or you will lose your money.

Amazing day out
Jun. 2018 • Family
A fantastic place to visit with family and friends. The zipline was a such a trill although we did the 2 ziplines, will definitely be going again to do the 6.

We also booked for the paintball session, and they were able to cater for our group of 19 ppl in one session which was great.

The staff are so friendly and helpful to explain and take you through all the activities and answer any questions you have.

I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to get out of Nairobi for the day with family and friends. Lots to do or you can sit at the restaurant and look at the spectacular views.

Look them up.

Day well spent
May 2018
We came to know about the Forest through social media and friends. We could not wait to try it out and definitely it was the best experience ever. Located in Limuru- the environment was so pleasant overlooking nature.
They offer a couple of activities like horseriding, archery, cycling, ziplining. Very well organised and the service was great.
The only drawback was they dont accept cash and only card or mpesa is accepted which was a bit of a challenge as we were not prepared for that.
The ziplining was a great experience and would definitely do it again. It was fun filled.

A superb day out from Nairobi - SPECTACULAR ziplining
Feb. 2018 • Family
About one hours drive from Nairobi along the 'top road' to Naivasha, turn left at the petrol station with the viewpoint. Its well signposted. From there you drive a few more kms into the forest - scenic drive, road a bit rough in places. Amongst the activities offered are cycling, horse-riding, archery and nature walks, but the main attraction here is the 2.2 km of fantastic zip-lining over the forest valleys. There are 6 zip lines in total on a course that takes 2 hours to complete or you can opt to do just 2. The guides are very professional and good fun. The scenery is spectacular the whole way round and you are zipping over forests, water-falls, colobus monkeys. It doesn't take any particularly difficult skills (they equip you with those you do need before you take off) just a bit of dare-devil. The challenge is getting to the end of the zipline so you don't have to be hauled in by the instructor! It is quite tiring if you don't make it to the end as you have to try to help yourself along the wire for a bit and for those not so fit people there is one hill in particular that could be challenging. I am in my 50's, with bad knees and quite a big lass, but I still managed fine. We had a decent meal at the end of the ziplining (paneer curry to be recommended), which they advise you to order in advance which we were glad of, as we were starving. Good coffee etc also available. The rest of the group went off and did archery for another couple of hours which they all really enjoyed. I relaxed with the great view and caught up with some work! Found it very reasonably priced for what you get and would definitely go back. Great place to take visitors. There is apparently some basic accommodation available and they are building some nice rooms at the moment - good idea as you could easily spend a couple of days here.

Great day in nature just outside nairobi
Jul. 2017 • Couples
The scenery is beautiful, and so different than the beach and bush safaris that dominate the tourist trail in kenya. Green hills and lovely view from the terrace. We tried the international-standard zip lines and a walk through the forest and loved it!
The lunch was delicious and great value. Can't wait until they add camping or a basic accommodation.
They could improve the signposting of the hikes, and speed of service in the restaurant (it took 10 min to get a black coffee, and another 10 to pay for it! Despite having at least 5 staff with nothing to do). The delays are likely due to efficiency of systems rather than diligence of staff. They could also add more seating on the terrace.
But overall- such a wonderful and unique day outside of nairobi! I want to come back with my team from work for team building on the obstacle course! And I wish we had booked more in advance to get a spot on the longer zip line tour.

A brilliant day in quiet green hills
Jan. 2017 • Friends
This is a new venture up in the hills above the Rift Valley, looking out over farmland and forest that runs all the way to the Aberdares.

Drive up the busy road from Nairobi and you'd never guess that you are so close to such tranquility - or such excitement. There's a top-quality set of six zip wires that send you soaring over the trees, run with great training and safety - and there are also walking and cycling trails as well as a beautiful new restaurant and lookout with views, on a clear day, all the way to Mount Kenya.

Can't recommend this enough - give it a go.
