Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was one of the many Tombs that is clearly off the usual beaten track- which is unfortunate. Each tomb has something usique and if you are coming all this way, seems worth the effort to see as much as possible. We planned with our guide to avoid the major tours, so we were alone in the tomb- an unique and eerie feeling with the surreal lighting.

As in all my reviews from our Luxor Trip early Jan 2020, we were very impressed with the value and ease of the Luxor Pass- no lines for tickets. We are thinking that our guide recommended against it because he wanted to have to buy all our tickets for us. By the end he admitted that not buying tickets at each venue was a major advantage.

I paid extra to see this tomb as recommended by our local tour guide. It was worth the money. The tomb is large, it's a long tunnel, painted on all sides, including the ceiling, With time, some of the paint has faded and in certain places the paintings have been damaged, but overall most of the paintings can be clearly seen. I especially liked the ceiling, dark background with yellow figures. As you have to pay extra, there were not too many visitors inside, so we had the time to take pictures and enjoy the tomb without feeling rushed or annoyed by the crowds. My favorite tomb in the Valley of the Kings by far.

If you’re going to pay the extra to visit any more tombs than the 3 which are included with your entrance fee, this is the one to pay for. At about US$6.50, we thought it was the best of all 5 we went into by far. It’s absolutely incredible how the colors of the decorations on both walls and ceiling remain so bright after some 3000 years.

You will walk down a long passageway to the tomb and not know where to look first.
You will see beautiful paintings, carvings, hieroglyphics and depictions. The colors are stunning and so well preserved. Even the ceiling is incredible.
With your entrance ticket you get to visit 3 tombs (King Tut is extra.) My understanding is that this is one you should pick.

Will highly recommend to visit this tomb (KV 9). This is for Ramses V and VI. The inside of the tomb is spectacular. Instead of paying the very steep entrance fees for Tomb of Seti I, we decided to take our guide's recommendation and visit this extra tomb. It was totally worth it.

This is one of the most beautiful tombs in the Valley of the Kings. The paintings (especially the night sky) and reliefs are very beautiful and with amazing colours. Unfortunately, there are many visitors (there should be a limit per hour), so that it gets very hot and humid in the tomb, which cant be good for conservation :-(. The monuments of Egypt should be protected much better, so that people can still enjoy them long after we are death. Right now, thats not the case, Egypt seems to care only about making as much money as possible from tourists, and not at all about taking care of the very rich history of the country.

This Tomb was shared by Ramses V & VI is quite large and very well preserved. You definitely get a feel for the extreme lengths Egyptian nobility took in glorifying their lives and preparing for passage to the afterlife. The walls are decorated with scenes from varies stories (Books) and the ceiling contain astrological scenes. The colors are quite vidid.

This is an extra ticket of 100 pounds, you must buy the extra tickets at the visitor center. worth it the best one we saw. All of them are fairly crowded with wait times in about 20 minutes.

Ms Ghada with Egypt Tailor Made took care of us over 5 days of tours around Luxor and this was one of them- She is amazing!

The site is amazing - these were some of the most beautifully preserved and colorful tombs artwork. We were just amazed. Do not miss it.

This tomb has been cleaned and restored using the methods that were perfected during the restoration of Queen Nefertari's tomb. It is an easy one to visit, not strenuous but has strong colors. Be sure to look up as you walk in. There is a long representation of the Goddess Nut on the ceiling before you arrive at the burial chamber. The burial chamber is magnificent - both the walls and ceiling. If you visit only one tomb in the KV, this is the one to visit.
