Luxor Private Full-Day Tour: Discover the East and West Banks of the Nile

242 reviews
Forget haggling with taxi drivers or piling on and off crowded buses. The best way to experience Luxor is on a private tour, where you can take the sights at your own pace and ask your own personal Egyptologist any questions you like. This one covers the main attractions of both East and West banks, perfect for first-time visitors or anyone with limited time. Round-trip hotel transfers, lunch, and entrance fees are also included.

I am enamored with this museum! The artifacts in this small museum are some of the best artistry In Egyptian antiquities! The layout of the museum and the lighting are superb for up close and clear photos.... A museum rarity. The silver jewelry display and the statues of the Goddess Sekmet are the only displays that pose a photo challenge. I am a professional Buddha sculptor so tend to judge most sculpture pretty harshly.... Luxor Museum...IS impressive! I did also take a horse and carriage ride to and from the Museum with A very nice man & his horse. I wanted food & some other things so asked for Garid Ahmed's help: zero, one zero one nine eight six five seven three three. He was great and we had a few pleasant rides together around Luxor. He is safe and polite. Enjoy. Brian

This wonderful museum has a well-chosen and brilliantly displayed and explained collection of antiquities dating from the end of the Old Kingdom right through to the Mamluk period, mostly gathered from the Theban temples and necropolis. The ticket price puts off many, but don't let that stop you: this is one of the most rewarding sights in Luxor and one of the best museums in Egypt.

I'm proud of my country to have such great museem with all those ancient Pharoah statues. There are tour guide who can help u to answer any questions for free. The statues there are in a complete state and lovely to find such old pieces still there and holding itself for 5000 B.C.
