I am enamored with this museum! The artifacts in this small museum are some of the best artistry In Egyptian antiquities! The layout of the museum and the lighting are superb for up close and clear photos.... A museum rarity. The silver jewelry display and the statues of the Goddess Sekmet are the only displays that pose a photo challenge. I am a professional Buddha sculptor so tend to judge most sculpture pretty harshly.... Luxor Museum...IS impressive! I did also take a horse and carriage ride to and from the Museum with A very nice man & his horse. I wanted food & some other things so asked for Garid Ahmed's help: zero, one zero one nine eight six five seven three three. He was great and we had a few pleasant rides together around Luxor. This wonderful museum has a well-chosen and brilliantly displayed and explained collection of antiquities dating from the end of the Old Kingdom right through to the Mamluk period, mostly gathered from the Theban temples and necropolis. The ticket price puts off many, but don't let that stop you: this is one of the most rewarding sights in Luxor and one of the best museums in Egypt.…

I'm proud of my country to have such great museem with all those ancient Pharoah statues. There are tour guide who can help u to answer any questions for free. The statues there are in a complete state and lovely to find such old pieces still there and holding itself for 5000 B.C.…
