Definitely a must see in Luxor, even worth planning for if you go to Egypt. The sphinx boulevard is magnificent. The size of the structures really surpassed what I expected.

I must go there!!!! It can be very hot! Go afternoon after all day visitors already gone! Is normally very cloudy. As in all places in Egypt, is a lot of people trying to get some money!

Between here and the luxor temple is a 1.5m avenue of sphinx that is currently being reconstructed. You can see the avenue at the Luxor temple. karnak temple is adequately called an open air museum. This site was my favorite. Plan on 4 hours here....More

This open air museum is within the grounds of Karnak Temple but is a fabulous place to walk around or simply sit beneath the trees and get away from the crowds. It's well worth visiting and you access it shortly after walking through the entrance...More
