Richly decorated with frescoes, although unfinished, the tomb of Pharaoh Ramses IX. The length is over 100 meters, at the end of the burial chamber, the ceiling and walls are covered with hieroglyphs and drawings. You can shoot with your phone.

Богато украшенная фресками, хотя и незаконченная гробница фараона Рамзеса IX. Длина свыше 100 метров, в конце погребальная камера, потолок и стены покрыты иероглифами и рисунками. Можно снимать на телефон.

Ramses IX is one of the most popular tombs in guide books due to its location near the entrance to the valley and gently sloping entrance. It is easily accessible for those with mobility issues. Cell phone photos are allowed without a charge but regular cameras require a photo permit. Be aware that locals will start chatting up with you, giving you information about the tomb, and expect to be tipped for their services. Its large antechamber is decorated with animals from the Book of the Dead. It is an unfinished tomb but the paintings are well preserved.

Ramses IX ruled Egypt between 1129-1111 BC. His popular tomb is one of the first in the Valley of the Kings. It has a wide entrance and long sloping corridor. Ramses IX tomb is known for its ornate and vividly colored decorations with scenes from the Book of Caverns, Book of the Dead, and Book of the Earth; the Book of the Heavens is represented on the ceiling. Also unusual is the large two-tiered pit in the burial chamber..

Fabulous paintings and hieroglyphics, even on the ceilings, so you don't know where to look first. The beautiful murals had colors that were unbelievably preserved.

This tomb was one of 3 that you could enter free included in the entry price to the valley of the kings. It is a lovely, well decorated tomb. Well worth looking at.

You can take pictures if you purchase a camera pass, or alternatively, you can use your mobile phone for no charge, but don't let the locals take photos of you unless you are willing to give them a tip.

The insides were mesmerizing. It was a little scary to goo all the way in, but worth the climb. A must see.

This was a beautiful tomb and it kinda answered the question- when do you stop? Seems when the King died- that was the end of his Tomb building, for the most part. All the tombs in the Valley of the Kings had its own pecularities and going to multiple tombs helped to understand the similarities and the subtle differences between each.

We used the Luxor Premium Pass, so no limit on tombs visited- that is very much the way to go if you are visiting Luxor for a few days. At minimum- 2 days on the West Bank and 1day on the East.

Lest impressive tomb since it was only 1/2 finished.

You have to pay to use a camera but can use your smartphone for free.

It is still very impressive and one of the easy to maneuver.
