We spent about two weeks touring Jordan and Egypt: this was a highlight; the color of the tomb paintings is 3500 years old, but as bright and clear as if they had been done yesterday.
It is an expensive ticket, with time limited in the tomb, but we’ll worth it.

Well preserved, bright colors and besides the local men there to protect the tomb, we were alone. Remember to always have either one dollar bills or 50 Egyptian pounds ready to give the men who are there to be guides. Your Tour Guide is not allowed to go inside the tombs it is only staffed by the locals who live around the area. We found that most of them don’t speak very good English but there are some that do. Some are helpful and some are more annoying and detract from the situation because they just keep pointing and saying Nefertari Nefertari Nefertari Nefertari Nefertari so I gave them money and ask them to just let us look in silence.

Surely this is the best tomb in the Valley of Kings and Queens combined! The paintings are really colourful. Ramesses II must have really loved his wife to have a tomb this good built for her! The entry fee of USD 100 just for this tomb is kind of high, but with a Luxor Premium pass, it is okay.

This tomb has been restored, and it looks magnificent. The colors are so vivid. Be sure to have a guide to gain a better understanding of the hieroglyphics on the walls.

Wow, really spectacular and worth going to visit as long as you are aware of the high cost of 1400LE (this is why it's not included in many tour packages). The Tomb appears almost as if it was constructed recently - the hieroglyphs are so colorful and well preserved. This was the best preserved tomb we visited and a trip highlight

The Tomb of Nefertari is not typically on a tour group or tour provider's package because it is extra and is quite expensive. Moreover, the ticket only allows for ten minutes in the Tomb! Nevertheless, we highly recommend purchasing the ticket and seeing this Tomb. It is spectacular. Given the spectacular nature of the Tomb, do not go to it first. Once you see it, the others will be pale in comparison. Our other recommendation is to try to time your entry to when there are no other people or only very few. It may be that with no other people in the Tomb, the ever present guards might let you stay longer to take in even more of this wonderful site.

Very impressive tomb …indeed the only tomb in Queens worth seeing but be advised it is costly. It is roughly 90 USD ! And only Egyptian cash is accepted! NO cash machine is on site! So come prepared!

If you intend to visit the Tomb of Nefertari you may consider buying the Luxor Pass as the entry ticket for this tomb alone is around $90. I went there twice. The first time after my extensive visit to the Valley of the Kings where I took so many pictures that my phone battery died. So I decided to go and just see it and to return the next day with a fully charged phone plus a back-up battery.
The tomb is not as large as it may seem when you look at pictures or videos but the colors are really spectacular. And pictures don't do it justice. You really have to see it to appreciate it.
You have to register your Pass with a supervisor before you go inside the tomb. The attendants hint that for a small token of appreciation they would allow you to stay there 15 minutes instead of the allowed 10. One of them probably figured that he would get a nice tip from me so he didn't bother me with timing and let me into every room and pointed to every significant and insignificant detail on the frescoes. A 50-pound bill LE was well received and we became friends.
The Valley of the Queens has only 4 toms open to the public and on the day of my visit one of them was closed .

I was the only one to visit the Nefertari tomb. It is great to have it to yourself, but you aren't alone. The guard/guide/beggers focus 100% of their attention on just you to show you where to look or take a photo, take your phone to take a photo of you "for you", and then insist on a tip. They'll even tell complain when you don't tip enough. For such an expensive tomb, I'd say it's not worth the price, but I suppose if you have the premium Luxor pass, it's not as bad.

Notamment un transport (taxi local....) pour aller jusque la Vallée des Reines . Où s'achète le billet pour cette tombe magnifique?
Merci pour votre aide.

How much is the ticket cost really? I just got back from Egypt last weekend. When I mentioned to my guide that I wanted to go there, my guide said the ticket is 3000 Le , too expensive so I didn't go there. But people here say it's 1000 le. Did they just raise the price ? or i was lied to ?

If anyone stays a week in Luxor, I'd advice Luxor Pass - costs 150€, valid for 5 days and you can visit any tomb - some of our group visited Nefetari twice - was really worth it.

Hi, I am a claustraphobic of many years standing and have to be selective as to the tombs I visit. Can you tell me if the entrance to the Nefertari tomb is very wide and does the corridor reduce in size? Is it very crowded and is it easy to quickly retreat if the need occurs. Also, are you able to give similar information regarding the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut? Many thanks in advance.

Nefertary is limited to 13 people at a time for about 10 minutes, enforcement depends on if people are waiting. It is also limited to 1000 people per year and you will notice an air supply. This tomb is not to be missed and is as large as any. The limits and air supply are to prevent damage from the moisture in your breath.
The mortuary temple is large and open. Shouldn't be a problem. ANY PYRAMID will be a problem, we had a couple of people in our group that couldn't do it.

I saw that you recently visited the Tomb of Nefertari. I'm traveling to Egypt this October, but I have been unable to find where to buy a tickler to the Tomb. If you don't mind me asking, where did you buy yours?
Thank you!

If you are going to see many sites in Luxor the Luxor Pass is a good deal. There are 2 versions, one that includes Nefertari's tomb and Seti I's tomb, and another version that does not include these 2 tombs. The Luxor Pass can be purchased behind the Luxor Museum. It looks like a sketchy area, but it is legitimate. You can lookup info about the Luxor Pass - you have to pay in cash, dollars or euros - NOT Egyptian pounds.

How do I get tickets for 2019.

One other thing, I believe tickets are sold at the gate and are fairly cheap, BUT, they include 3 tombs and Nefertari is NOT one of them This is the tomb that makes the visit worth while and is normally closed to the public. You must make special arrangements, probably through a tour group. My tour was Archaeological Paths and it was an add-on at $190 including transport from the ship in Luxor. Worth every bit of it.
