We didn’t walk up close but it was spectacular from the viewpoint area. You should have a guide or research explanation to fully appreciate what you see and how it was constructed. Mind boggling. It’s usually very hot, so come prepared. We arrived by horse cart. Another interesting experience.

Just like the nearby pyramids, to be able to stand in front of this world famous piece of human history is amazing. The picture opportunities are plentiful and with the right tour guide, no one bothers you. We went on a Saturday, which was not that busy at all.

Having visited all the Pyramids in Giza location, we drove to this attraction. There are small shops along the way and wooden steps to walk on. It is a small area and we had to wait our turn to take photos. Parking is in the neighborhood area, at the entrance of the Sphinx.

We visited this amazing sculpture after the pyramids. It was carved from a very large piece of limestone and had the head of a human and the body of a lion. It is extraordinarily well preserved. There are lots of opportunities to take photos and while there are some stalls en route to the site, the street sellers were not as annoying as in other places.

I was enthralled by the Great Sphinx. It is located near the Pyramids of Giza. My wife and I got to see the Sphinx during a two week tour of Egypt this past December. I marvel at the old photos which show the Sphinx half covered in sand. And to see it now fully uncovered is fantastic. An item on my bucket list that I was fortunate enough to get to see.

After visiting the pyramids for a few hours we walked over to the sphinx. My awe and enthrallment was given 100% to the pyramids so maybe I had little left, but I felt a tiny bit underwhelmed by the sphinx. Yes, it is stunning. Yes, it is a must-see. Yes, it is one of the world's most beautiful historical wonders. But... the pyramids had a much bigger effect on me.

Must see stop by the pyramids. The entry and exit ways are littered with smelly camel droppings and shop fronts. Everything looks fake so don't buy anything. This is a quick stop, you're in for photos and out - likely 30 minutes max. There is apparently also a light show at night but we did not partake - it is a separate ticket.

This is a once in a life time experience you must see, truly amazing. This is a small way from the pyramids of Giza but in photos it looks so close, which was a surprise to me. I would advise visiting very early to miss any crowds. Even in November it is still very warm. Would definitely recommend 🌞🌞

When a person thinks of Egypt, the pyramids come first, but the Sphinx is not far behind that. The pyramids at the background just makes the Sphinx look pretty epic. Getting into the Sphinx was pretty crowded and you have to fight to get to the railings. And even then there isn't enough room to reliably get a picture. Otherwise, if you ask people to move away for you take your picture, it will feel like you're the main character or something. So if you can, try climbing and take your picture from there. Don't forget to walk all the way to the back to see the lion's body!

Located within the Great Pyramid complex in Giza, the Sphinx is a stunning world famous sight. It is still in generally very good condition, less the famously absent nose, and you get a good uninterrupted view because of how the site has been arranged. Access is through an impressive partially remaining temple where the king was prepared for burial. The backdrop of the pyramids adds to the wonder. There are lots of tourist items for sale once you leave the viewing area, but the sellers are not too pushy.
