At over 240 feet long and 66 feet high, it’s a wonder that this mysterious sculpture was carved from a solid limestone block.

Sometimes one gets the wrong impression from photos. The Sphinx is really fantastic and very imposing although next to the incredibly imposing pyramids.

What is there to say that hasn't been said over the past 4,500 years about the Great Sphinx. Although it was smaller in real life than I expected, to stand within yards of it is humbling of how little time each of us spend on...More

The shear size of the Sphinx is massive and wonderful to view. One can walk around the perimeter with no trouble. A nice place to have a picture taken with the Sphinx as a backdrop.

Ever since taking Egyptian history in grade school, a visit to this historical country has been on the bucket list. An epic visit, not duplicated anywhere.
