Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely terrible. I don’t understand where these amazing reviews are coming from.

This is not a 5 star hotel. They do a great job in the pictures of making it look nice and clean and modern. In reality the rooms are run down and dirty. The couch in this room is absolutely filthy as well as the rugs. I’m disgusted staying in here.

The breakfast buffet looks nice when you get there until you realize they aren’t stopping birds from flying in the room and getting all over the food. They were literally carrying food away from the buffet the entire time and this seems to just be totally normal here. Disgusting.

We ate at the Italian restaurant tonight hoping I could get some simple decent food. Took one bite into the pesto gnocchi and it tasted LIKE CHEMICALS. Something was seriously wrong with it. I am in complete shock. I am pregnant and am horrified that I put that in my mouth. My husband (who will eat just about anything) tried it as well and he was in shock as well. We tried to eat the margarita pizza because we were so hungry and they obviously just microwaved it. It was flimsy and soggy.

The only nice thing about this hotel is the view.

Horrible experience. I would never recommend staying here to anyone.

The Sarah Spa at The Mena House Giza is amazing. I chose the Saray 1/2 day journey which is 3 hours of bliss. My therapist, AYA was magical and a special healer. She treated me like a goddess and performed a salt scrub, massage and facial that were are spectacular. The spa is clean and lovely. I began my journey with jacuzzi bath, and sauna for 30 minutes and then 3 hours of treatments. The products are luxurious and the treatments were top notch. All for $105 US dollars. WOW! I am very pleased and cannot wait to come back again!

Was lucky enough to fit in a massage and Dead Sea mask one afternoon during a busy four days in Egypt! This spa is spectacular! The sounds, the ambiance and the scent, you know you will be in for a treat! Highly recommend!
