I enjoyed seeing the evolution of the pyramids and how they went from the step pyramids to the big pyramids. Sakkara and Dashur combined make a nice day and introduction to the Pyramids.

Compared to Giza, Dashur is simply deserted. You will find if any other tourists here, and the same goes for camel drivers, touts, salespeople etcetera. The pyramid at Dashur is not as large as the biggest ones at Giza, but still impressive. Included in the...More

Worth a visit, perhaps because you will probably be the only people there. Climb the scaffolding and go inside the pyramid. Genteel chap in charge, friendly and moderate in his demands for a tip.

When you visit Dashur, you will more than likely be the only people there. It gives you the peace and quiet to contemplate the effort expended in making them. Note the differences in the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid.
