As in any other metropolis, the high towers are a great activity for you to have an idea of the city. If you’re lucky (like we were) you’ll be able to see the pyramids from here! Upon arrival, there’s a photographer offering those official pictures, but we didn’t want it. During pandemics, masks are requested all the time, but there up above people will remove them. Egypt has been really empty those times due to the pandemics. So there was no need for queues. But they do happen everywhere at this time of the year, as the temperatures during the day are extremely comfortable. Thirty minutes upstairs is more than enough, in my opinion. You’ll be able to appreciate the Nile and its greatness, to see the pyramids far away and take your pictures. But bear in mind that after the pandemics you might have to wait for going up due to queues and crowds, especially in pleasant temperatures as we had in November. It’s worth visiting for sure, but if you’re in a hurry and have to see a lot of things around, the Cairo tower should not be your priority. Questions? Send me a message. I’ll be more than happy to help you to make your trip to Egypt even better!…

We went to Cairo Tower on a Friday evening, not knowing what to expect. You enter through a security area, then purchase tickets. Two hundred pounds for foreigners. From there, you wait for your number to come up. For us, that took close to one hour. Many people just sit along the steps. There are restroom facilities, and a camel for a diversion. Once your number is called, you queue inside as well, then take the elevator to the top. I have to say, the view was spectacular. It really was pretty to see the city lights at night! You can spend as much time as you'd like at the top, then you queue for the elevator again. Nice diversion and worth the trip!…
