Last December, I enjoyed a very interesting tour of downtown Cairo, the place of rich history and beautiful architecture. The high point of the tour was the time with our guide, Ahmed Seddik, who opened our eyes on Egyptian history, architecture and guided us through the wonders of this part of the town. Ahmed is not only a tour guide, but also he is an Egyptologist, story teller, Linguist, botanist and many other things which one will explore while touring with Ahmed. I highly recommend Ahmed and his very interesting tours. I am looking forward to joining him in future tours especially the one in Maadi ;)

Archeology, history, botany, architecture - Ahmed seems to know just about everything, and in all languages too. So one learns a lot on his tours. They are as fun and informative as they can get exhausting - because there is no limit in a Seddik tour, often not even a time limit. Of course people are free to leave when they are tired. A tour can swerve in many directions. For sure one comes back tired but enriched.

I have wanted to visit Cairo for about 40 years- and I had one day at the tail end of a business trip to embrace as much as I could. Ahmed was a great guide- appreciating my interest in seeing the big sites but also the back alleys of Islamic Cairo. His knowledge across archeology, history, botany (am interest of mine) and religion/culture is impressive- and he wove all into the day long private tour. We started at 8:30 and got back to my hotel around 7:30. Well worth the cost. I was- however- exhausted by the day’s end, but was glad that Ahmed had recommended good walking shoes!

And amazing tour. Ahmed is very knowledgeable and funny. He was able to go in to great depth on Cario/Egyptian architecture and art for my friend who was an art history major and is very involved still with the arts but also simplified it for me (I'm less knowledgeable about art things). Amazing tour!

My family and I had the most amazing experience - actually MANY amazing experiences - in Cairo thanks to Seddik Tours. We had the good fortune to spend five full days with Ahmed - so in addition to Visa to Giza we also visited Saqqara, the Egyptian Museum, Al-Azhar Park and numerous exquisite mosques including the Mohammed Ali mosque in the Citadel. The highlight of our time in Cairo was, perhaps, the hours and hours we spent walking around and enjoying meals in the Islamic and Coptic neighborhoods of Cairo. The benefit of Ahmed's company and cultural perspective allowed us to feel welcome everywhere we went. We also, aided and abetted by Ahmed's incredible sense of humor, absorbed what now seems like a ridiculous amount of historic knowledge. We loved our visit to Cairo and the many wonderful people we met - but the principle reason we consider this our "trip of a lifetime" is the guidance provided to us by Seddik Tours while we were there.
