The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.

Probably fun if you like slapstick.
I was honestly very bored. The acts didn't catch me at all, waist of time and money.
They actors were charming, but their talent not well organised, even though it was without language there was a few cultural references, which my cousin had to explain.

I really wanted to like it, but I couldn't wait for it to end.

Difficult to put a label on this - slapstick, corny jokes, athletic, riveting spring to mind. But most of all fun. Loosely set around a kitchen, there is plate throwing, knife skills, percussion which is first rate and some slick audience participation. 90 minutes of high energy.

This was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Seoul. It was lots of fun to see the actors in their comedy routines. Great fun and no need to understand Korean!

Was a bit apprehensive towards the show but it disappeared as the show started. The show utilises a simple non verbal comic format to connect to all nationalities. A comic show based on cooking with 5 characters is a good 1.5 hrs of fun and relaxation.

Its an excellent show, very unique in its own way. The beginning and the end was very entertaining. There was a tinge of magic as part of the performance, which included mainly of cooking utensils.

I hate to take away anything from the outstanding performers, but I would't recommend this show for anyone with social anxiety. The decision of the show's writers and management to use psychological compliance measures to basically force clapping and enthusiasm at the penalty of being called out or even dragged up on stage by the performers. Encourage enthusiasm, I understand. But this wasn't that.

It basically felt like they were using the same fear-based gaslighting techniques used by religious organizations and militaries to brainwash, control, and then convince people they actually wanted to go long for the ride. Also, they also make it basically impossible due to extreme social pressure, and extraordinarily strong frame, to refuse being pulled up on stage once you're singled out. They also say people can't leave the performance to go to the bathroom after the show starts (!).

The call outs, or being dragged on stage probably happen around 10-15 times during the performance.

Again, the performers are excellent, but unfortunately the fear of public embarrassment that they kept threatening or implying for me as a socially anxious person was an extreme detractor and I was happy when the show was over.

Kitchen knives and utensils were the instruments used in this acrobatic musical performance. Very energetic, lots of laughter, highly recommended to everyone including young school children.

It is very entertaining and funny, even if you are not the type to participate, you will. It will make you laugh and sheer. It has some English words but it is mostly sounds that everybody can understand. I would recommend this show when the weather is hot so that you can relax in a cool place for 2 hours. Not expensive, look for the days that have extra discounts. We paid $70.00 for 2.
