The concrete arch dam is worth seeing. There is a good viewing point close to the parking area. During our visit, the water level was quite low as much of the snow had yet to melt.

A gorgeous photo stop for sure. Really beautiful even though it was the winter, the colours were amazing and the clouds were hanging low. The stores are trying to sell to you constantly and charge you to take photos with the swings and hearts. Just take your own selfies. Really lovely photos stop!

Came as part of a tour, the place is just so beautiful, there were such great views of the water, especially when it's sunny. The area has a cafe' and lots of stands and it's a perfect location to take nice pictures.

Made a quick stop and was amazed with the view. A place where you can get a quick snack and do some souvenir shopping too. The area is not too big, mostly packed with tourists..

I visited it with a tour on our way to Gudauri and then Kazbegi. The reservoir is not far from Tbilisi, we stopped in a place with great views. There, there are many vendors selling souvenirs or offering to take pictures of you with typical mountain clothes. Recommended to stop there if you are on your way anyway. Lenght of stop can be 5-10 minutes for photos.

The reservoir is a gorgeous turquoise color and makes for a beautiful landscape while dtiving. There are many points you can pull off to admire the view and take a photo, and a few restaurants where you could stop for lunch and have a coffee as well. It’s an easy drive from Tbilisi, and worth doing if you’re heading towards Kazbegi.

hi,
we used a driver to get there. Once on site, there are cars that take you all the way up to the church. the road is bumpy and therefore cars with drivers are at the big parking ready to take you all the way up. you can negotiate the price with them.
enjoy the ride and the serenity.
