Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum is a bit in the middle of nowhere however the machines on display were really impressive.
Most impressive though was the owner, really knowledgeable and the kindest man you can meet.
We had just arrived in tblisi and this was our first stop, no cash only card which they could not accept that day due to technicalities, however after a couple of minutes discussion we were treated to a free tour!
It's only 10GEL per person and well worth it, recommended to anyone. The taxi ride from old tblisi city to there cost more 12GEL!
The old school cars and bikes are a beautiful collection with throwbacks to to 20's (1920's) when style and contours was everything and the old war vehicles were every bit as amusing as you can expect.
Everything on display is immaculately restored.
Well impressed and thankful for kindhearted human nature. Money is not everything.

Absolutely brilliant museum, amazing display of Soviet (but not all) vehicles. All immaculately restored. Guide was brilliant, passionate, informative and amusing. Out of the centre but easy to reach by taxi and well worth it. A highlight of Tbilisi for me.

Not easy to find. Our taxi driver had never heard of it. We were charged 10GEL each to enter. But it was worth it. Great examples of old Soviet cars lovingly restored. Photos of the cars prior to restoration were also interesting.

OK. So it's well hidden. Get bus number 2 to Zhoresi Street, walk down Police Street to the signposted turn to the museum and it's easy! Museum entrance fee is GEL 10 and the owner shows you round in English, Russian or Georgian. The collection is a nice range of Soviet era cars plus a few motorcycles. There are some GAZ, some Moskovitch and some ZAZ including some very luxurious cars used for Politburo staff. There is a bathroom but no cafe or gift shop.

Great little museum with cars carefully restored. The guide will answer all your car questions. He speaks some English. Cars span production era from Stalin to Gorbachev. Recommend you go. Small entrance fee. A little difficult to find. There is a YouTube video.

A private collection of amazingly well restored Soviet vintage cars . Museum open to the public 10 lari admission fee.The museum houses 20 or so vehicles from around the 1940s to 1970s ,we were give a guided tour by the collection owner who was informative and rightly was very proud of his cars.
The Museum is in an industrial area of Tbilisi and a bit hard to find we had a taxi from downtown who waited at the museum and took us back to central Tbilisi all for less than £10.00 Bargin!!

The Tbilisi Auto Museum is a great spot to visit for an hour or so. They have a good set up with vehicles and motorcylces, most we are not very familiar with as a lot of those cars weren’t marketed to our country as much as other places. The staff are helpful and willing to chat about the displays and vehicles even though there was a language barrier, both sides made it through and we had a great time. The limousine is very impressive to see, they do rent some of the vehicles by the hour if you wanted to take one for a cruise (next time we will) and it is worth the trek to get here even for a couple of us who aren’t big motorheads.

This museum hosts a unique collection of cars and some motorcycles made in the USSR from the small Zaporozhets to the huge Zil and Chaikas.
The host was very nice and explained the history behind each vehicle, some were owned by important people and some they just found abandoned in Georgian villages, they have their own workshop where they still continue to restore cars so the collection will keep growing bigger.
The place was a bit hard to find and the host didn't speak English, but this was not an issue for me.
In summary, a unique opportunity to find such a collection outside Russia, definitely recommended.
