Your visit to Georgia is not complete until Jack and Jill go all the way up the Mtatsminda hill to fetch some spectacular 360 degree views of the city. Don't forget to take the funicular a uphill train that goes at a 45 degree angle uphill yet very safe and relaxing even suitable for light hearted. Once you reach there you can take some jaw aching photos , spend some time in the theme park or indulge in some street foods.

We drove up the hill with our guide George. This place is scenic and gives a good panoramic view of the city below. it has very well landscaped gardens. We also visited the restaurant there which has a seating overlooking the city below. This is the place where we had Ponchuki (Russian desert) and got hooked on to it! We packed a few to carry it back to India :)

Hi. - Hi.
We took a funicular to the mountain. Price 10 GEL per person plus card 2 GEL (one for two), but not the same as on the subway
Cool mountain views all over Tbilisi. The pictures are gorgeous. On the mountain itself there are many attractions (working in summer), both water and conventional. Wax museum, cafes, a bunch of things.

First of all, a beautiful view of the city, of course. Other than that, I don't know what to do there. It's better to go to sunset, watch the lights of Tbilisi come on. Back down on foot in total darkness😁 And for another 20 minutes looking for where to start their descent

A bit overrated. The amusement park could be an ideal for kids, but the price for each amusement ride is slightly high. Some games and machines of the park are seemingly abandoned and not properly maintained. The two caterings within the funicular building are rather unmatchingly high-class and non-family friendly. Everything seems to be put together in a rather weird mix. Overall speaking, the experience is not enjoyable at all.

As an American tourist without children, I enjoyed walking around the park looking at the rides and the interesting buildings. The park was a bit confusing for me, i was trying to avoid stairs. The center of the park going up hill is one big continuous staircase. If you take the path to the far right you will head toward the Ferris Wheel, and I think at the end it connects to the other side. Otherwise I preferred the road on the far left which went to the center “golden tree” with panorama point and then up to the roller coaster. I bought a $6 Pomegranate juice from a vendor who looked like she was going to cry because I made her work…maybe you could have ur employees act happy in your amusement park?

We walked to the Lower station and took the Funicular up the mountain.
It’s 10 GEL per head one way. The lines were not too bad at 8:30pm for the ticket or for the Funicular ride. Got some amazing glimpses of Tbilisi lit up at night.
The Pantheon is beautifully lit up and adds charm to the place.
We walked around and headed to the Ferris wheel. It’s 10 Gel per head and you get one revolution of the wheel to take in the sights. Tbilisi looks lovely at night from that height.
Glad we made the effort to go.
The park has some interesting rides and is family oriented. Lots of space, clean and cool at night to visit after the blistering heat of the day in August.
Upon our return one option was to take the Funicular down and spend 20 GEL for two of us or order a Bolt taxi for the same amount straight back to our hotel which is what we did.

Take the funicular up (which by itself is already an experience), for about 21 GEL (retour).
You arrive with a restaurant to your right and a café to your left you feel like trying either, or just go straight ahead into the park.
It's a (somewhat dated) amusement park with mostly rides for kids, but it's well maintained and fun to have a look at even if you don't have children. (The rides are paid individually).
There's plenty of places where you can get food and because you're on top of the hill, great panorama's all around.
If this isn't high enough for you get, take the ferris wheel. Bring a coat cause it does get windy.

Took a ride to the top via the Funicular. Its 8 Gel per person per way. The view from the top is breathtaking as it offers amazing views of the city. There are smaller attractions like Jurassic Park (for Kids -Entry 5 Gel per pax) ,the giant wheel (5 Gel per pax) , the Haunted house (5Gel per pax), etc. Plenty of games stalls, a handful of restaurants and snack shacks too. Loads of place to take selfies and very green and picnic friendly. Gets very windy up here so hold on to your cap or hat and watch out for the best views.

I went with family in winter. At the top of a beautiful garden available with breathtaking city view. In summer ,this place is an enterment feast for kids as lots of kids' activities open in summer. A perfect family picnic time of local people and a must visit place for tourists like us. Great restaurants are available at the top and toilet facilities available. The slope train journey also gives nice city views while ascending and descending also.

What's the difference between this location and Mtatsminda Amusement Park?are these places the same?If not which one do you highly recommend?
Written 17 February 2020
It is actually the same location, the park is cool especially for the kids, they will really enjoy there. Just make sure that you you charge your park cards at the cashier inside the station as there is no cash payment in the park.

Is there snow in tbilisi on 1st week of December? Where is the best place to experience the snow ski..
Whicht places you would recommend to visit for a solo traveller. 😊
Thanks!
Written 8 August 2019
..there is no snow in the city proper. You need to travel around 1-2 hours in order to experience the snow and it's worth it!
The temperature int the city is a bit chilly (0-5 degrees at night)
Bakuriani is amazing!

Spectacular views of the city: Mtatsminda or Narichala Fortress. Spectacular views of the river: Europe Bridge or Mtekhi Church/Vakhtang Gorgasali statue. If you are Orthodox Christians: Sameba Cathedral is awe-inspiring along with a sweeping view of the city. If you want where many Georgians go for wedding pictures: Jvari Chapel, overlooking Mtskheta. Hope this helps
