Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The views were spectacular! On the way up try for the seats at the very bottom, they have the best view. It's a short ride to the top, there are two stops, the first one is just to go to a church on the mountainside, and the second and final stop is the main one. It costs about $30 (USD) for a family of 4 there and back, and at the top, there are rides, little stands with different food and drinks, and rides. We went on a Monday, and it was not busy at all. The Cafe was affordable, 5.00 Lari for an ice cream, 10.00 for a mousse, and 41.00 for a bottle of sparkling wine. There are many different items, Coffee, Drinks, Wine, Desserts, and some sandwiched salads and two pizzas. Very fun visit in all.

Took the mountain train up to the top. At the station nearly changed our minds as looked like it was just a kids park but pleased we did.
Arrival was a pleasant large building which houses a very old Georgian restaurant. Didn’t eat there but heard it was nice.
Went for a walk around the large park there, lots of little cafes etc and nice scenery. Also went for the ATV drive which was a little underwhelming, very slow and would be safe for any families with kids etc. We did stop at a great viewpoint at the top of the mountain but didn’t think it was good value for money.
The park also has a few areas such as Jurassic park (didn’t go inside), Ferris wheel and some small stalls where you can win toys.
Overall, was a nice stroll around up there but was a mission to walk from the main road, uphill to reach the station. Trains run every 20 minutes and there were some taxis around when we got back

Grear place to visit. Histotic coty with fsst fkowing canyon dtyle river running through centre with highways built to other side. I chose to drive and hired at the Airport. I would recommend only experienced drivers take Tbilisi and region on, as lets say conditions are challenging for a rules based driver! Expect the unexpected!! Tbilisi has great markets from Gold and jewellery to foodies. Magnificent churches everwhere. Cable car over city and river. All worth a visit. I wnt yo Giri and vusited Stalin home and museum, well worth an overnight stay. Tbilisi alone is a long weekender. 4 to 7 dsys for furthe afield but there are restricted areas to be aware of.

Went there with my wife.
In general, nothing was expected of this place.
The funicular itself is pretty new.
You have to wait until the filler(~16 people).
It's a quick ride.
On the way out, you hit a Soviet-era moon park.
There were hardly any people, many trees and paths.
The rides are ancient and shabby.
Ride the sight wheel.
There's a couple of food cafes.
The funicular building has famous donuts and sweet lemonade (very sweet and sold because of the legend created around it).
Complex toilet separately in the booth at the side...

Nice trip in Tbilisi. You can combine it with a return trip by cable car.
There is again a new plastic card (2 Lari) to load the fare (10 Lari). The card is also valid for the cable car (12 Lari).

Putting the fun in funicular at Mtatsmida. This attraction will take you up to the high heights above Tbilisi for spectacular scenery and views.
Great opportunity to see the city without the climb. There's plenty to keep the interest when at the top. A trip for the fun of it and the obligatory free views were enough for me.
Worth a look when in Tbilisi.

My wife and I joined . A trip of about 7 min like a cable car , a card to ride , a card used to ride to the toys in the lounge park above, you get “2- lari” then 10 exits , 10 uploads for landing. You can also overload if you want to ride in the giant drawer above. 10 lari per person

First time we arrived there was a malfunction and we could not go up. The next day tried again the restaurant upstairs was closed for a party that evening / weekend. Very unfortunate. We were the 2nd time during the day because we flew back that night. But the best thing is to be there in the evening.

A friend recommended this place, and I’m so glad my daughter and I visited! From here, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of Tbilisi, making it a must-visit spot.
One of the highlights was taking the train up to the restaurant—it was a unique and fun experience. We tried some of their dishes, and both the food and service were good.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Tbilisi!

There were no such signs forbidding bikes. However, its just as pleasant to walk around the park, take in the scenery and enjoy a cool pint in the bar

If you are to choose between Kakheti (signaghi) or Mestia for two nights, what would you prefer? I’m torn between these two and I have to choose only one.
Written 18 August 2019
Mestia : Museum of History and Ethnography, and a one day hike to Chalaadi glacier near Mestia which is one of the most beautiful glaciers of the country.
Do the hike with a group its quite far or so partially by Jeep
Magnificent views
Khakheti
Wine region
Lots of wine tastings and tours
2 Museums to visit
Visit the monastery
So it all depends if you want to hike and rough it a bit or relax, sightsee and do wine tastings

Dear all
,
I am visiting Georgia through a travel agency they say there is funicukar ride and the ride expense is not included in the trip . How much would it cost so that I can be prepared ?
Pls advise
Written 12 November 2018
The card cost 2 Gel which you can be used for x number of passengers. No need to buy a lot of cards. Per way is 3 Gel. So if you get 2 way, that would be 6 Gel.

Is it the same cable car from the rike park to Narikala or it is another one ?
