Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

When you hear the story of the lamplighter and why a Muslim was chosen for the job, you will giggle (Georgians tended to enjoy chacha too much). There are several other charming statue within a few meters. Enjoy before the clock tower show.

Tbilisi is increasingly full of interesting sculptures and this is a highlight that is near the Old Town as you walk up towards Freedom Square.

A beautiful bronze statue, one of the most beautiful of the many bronze statues that are scattered on the streets of Tablissi.
Dedicated to all the gas Lamplighters that made sure to illuminate the city's streets and unfortunately disappeared along with the disappearance of the gas lanterns. It is highly recommended to look for this beautiful sculpture, even for Photo Op only.

This is but a piece of street art; on the other hand, it enhances this walkway and is encountered soon after the puppet theatre.

Very interesting statue of a man lighting a streetlight. It is located in the center, so it's very easy to find. Did some good photos there!

You can find this nice sculpture, Monument to the Lamplighter, on one of the central roads of the city of Tbilisi. It's really very interesting, an excellent idea to devote this sculpture to lamplightrs! Worth to see it!

One of several sculptures around the city. This one is reminiscent of the Gas Light Era when all the street light had to bit lit by hand.

Fits the atmosphere around it a lot. I tried to find a story behind it from the official source but couldn't. There are many different stories and tour guides seem to come up with their own stories. I didn't find similar stories from the sculptor himself - Irakli Tsuladze. However, it definitely represents a piece of history of a profession Lamplighter, people who brought light to Tbilisi
