Ever read William Dalrymple's excellent book The Last Mughal? If not, do. Then visit Yangon and see his tomb (the Mughal's, not Dalrymple's). Bahadar Shah Zafar II was ruler in Delhi in 1857 when it became the centre of an uprising which was crushed. The...More

Caretakers are great and offer many insights to Bahadur Shah Zafar. Place is an eyeopener. Nice photographs there. This place should be on every Indian's visit to-do list.

It was a great but short visit to the Tomb of this king. The Imam of the mosque of the tomb tried to show me every part of the Tomb. I think it is a must see for Muslims, especially for Shia Muslims, since you...More

This is one place which is visited by every prime minister/President of India and Pakistan whenever they come to Yangoon. This is the site where the last Mughal Emperor was buried. Bahadur Shah Zafar was more of a poet saint than a ruler. The site...More
