Great reclining Buddha and free of charge!!! Many temples/places of interest in Myanmar charge tourists but this place is free and it's great!

The buddha is indeed reclining and very long but this is not worth the one in Bangkok (Wat Pho). It's very modern with blinking lights. Hugh lack of authenticity for this place.

Quite a nice temple with many shrines around the main Buddha structure. We'll done and a well kept temple. Worth the trip to see while in the city.

At the beginning the place were not in our schedule, however our driver recommend us to visit since we still have some time before heading back to the airport. The Buddha image are huge and beautiful. The place also very clean, well maintenance and peaceful.

This was the 3rd pagoda I had visited on my recent trip to Yangon and though the place itself is small compared with Shwedagon or Sule, the massive reclining Buddha is really something to behold. Located not too far from the city centre and costing...More

This reclining Buddha is by far less crowded than the one in Bangkok. At first, it seems like a large figurine but once you look at the details it becomes more interesting. We spent a while as it was a great opportunity to observe local...More

This place is nicely preserved. Well maintained. It is very open and airy. The place has English descriptions and history to tell you about the life of Buddha etc.

I would say the visit needs 1 hour at most. It is a small place and it really depends on how much time you will take for photos and looking around. We had a guide for the day but it takes around 20-30 minutes from down town... More
