Its like a train in Indonesia before year 2000. Crowded and very traditional. Not reccommended unless you know how to speak burmese.

Ok, it s not very comfortable. You don't see tourist hotspots. And it takes 3 hours. But it is an attraction not to be missed. You see local life, get good food (basic) on the train for about 40 eurocents, and get a 1000 photo-ops. Be open- minded and you talk to locals during the whole ride, even without knowing... More

I absolutely loved using the circular train when I visited Myanmar. We used it twice during our stay and were overwhelmed by the kindness of the local people and the mutual curiosity. It was wonderful to see daily life, meet families and observe people buying and selling goods. Absolutely loved it and what a bargain! Wonderful - I hope it... More

I enjoyed it more than my wife, great to see the daily life of people living outside the city bubble. The train chugs along at relatively slow speed and you get a good insight of the small market towns you pass through. We managed to do 2 out of the 3 hours and then we got off and took a... More

To help the users I evaluate the attractions with the following rank: Don't go, Just go, Should go, Must go! It is nice, you will se how people live aroud the city. It also takes you next to the airport and the bus station, but still some walk from there. The train has no ac.. so prepare because will be... More

The best way to see the ugly side of Yangon. Ticket is dirt cheap for a 3 hour ride but don't expect comfort.

We were on a private tour in Myanmar and were taken on the train by our guide. It was a fabulous experience. Open doors, vendors jumping on and off with fresh food, pots and pans, herbs, drinks, cut mango and melon. Wonderful.
