Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Suggested time to visit: after 4 p.m. to avoid the heat, but still take advantage of the sun glinting off of all of the gold.
Entry fee: 10,000 MMK paid to a man in uniform, plus 3,000 MMK for alter flowers & an umbrella (didn't seem like you could say no to the offerings).
Time required: About an hour.
The pagoda is interesting and you'll see Buddhists finding the Buddha labeled with the day of the week they were born on. The pilgrim then splashes one cup of water for each year of life to date onto that Buddha to bring good fortune in the future.
How the experience could be improved: luckily, there's not much traffic there so that allows a slow meander around the octogon. I would suggest cleaning up the entrances as they are cluttered with things that belong in a back room and detract from the grandeur of the experience. An entrance foyer shouldn't be a place to have laundry drying, for example. Also, there's a lovely, lovely elevated pedestrial bridge to the mosque across the street. It's closed and no one is allowed to use it. Isn't it delightful that it was built though? It is such a lovely metaphor for how we should build bridges across differences. Why not allow people to use it? Who knows? It could bring good fortune in the future.
The Wikipedia page on Sule Pagoda has lots of information about it.
Cafe KSS down the street has a nice passion fruit juice you can order to cool off afterwards.

Nestled within the city’s core, the pagoda serves as a central hub where vehicles gracefully navigate in circular patterns. Although the temple isn’t particularly spacious and doesn’t draw large crowds, it remains a historically significant site with a heritage spanning over two millennia. The pagoda’s central stupa stands amidst a lively ensemble of shops, eateries, and charming colonial-era structures, creating a vibrant district within the city.

Beautiful Pagoda at Downtown Yangon. At the centre of Traffic Island in the busy commercial hub area of Yangon. Generally take close to one hour for going around the Pagoda

When you visit to downtown place of Yangon, you will see Sule Pagoda. It is located in the middle of the road. It is one of the ancient pagodas. We can take a photo of it with City hall background.

Sule Pagoda is well-located at the city center of Yangon. No way to miss it. After paying 5,000 Kyats (foreigner only), visitors can walk around the pagoda as long as they prefer. The fee is for a day so visitor can come back in the evening to enjoy sun set and listen to the pray. There are lot of small statues and Buddha images to pay respect. It is impressed to see that not only old/mature peoples come to the Pagoda but young generations also come to pray and meditate there as well.

There are several spots that we can sit quietly and meditate. Very peaceful.

This Pagoda is marred by all the commercial shops that surrounds its perimeter. The shops are a blight on the presentation of the Pagoda.
