Visited the underwater post office at Hideaway Island and did some snorkeling here in December 2017. Most coral is white, dead and/or broken. Destroyed by the multitude of tourists passing through. The bar is good and serves a good range of drinks. Staff are helpful...More

It was good to see and send some postcards to family from the underwater post office. It can be a bit of a challenge to get the cards in pending on what tide there is.

The idea is novel but nothing much to see here, the marine life was far more impressive. We were easily able to dive down just snorkelling.

Seems like a lot of hype for a pretty simple attraction. I could stand on the top of it with my head above water. I had seen pictures of scuba divers with it, so I assumed it was something a little more difficult to access.

Not many places in the world that you can do this (if any) and there are certainly a lot of tropical fish swimming around.

Not far from the shore, but you may need to do a little swimming to find it. I think it is directly between the two diving platforms. Not far to dive down at low tide but could be a bit harder for some when the...More

Hi Trish I agree with Kay B. Grab a taxi and negotiate the price beforehand. They should be able to take you and take you back (you may have to pay for them to wait, but seeing as you are on a cruise you want to make sure... More

We hired a mini bus for four hours. Price is negotiable. There were six adults in our group. The mini bus was clean, comfortable and the driver "Sam" was a safe driver. He waited at each stop for us. There have been other... More

If you have time to do a round of the island there are lots of little beaches and coves with clear water and beautiful fish. Hideaway is lovely and a good choice as it is not too far to travel.
